For a year or so I have had a fuel problem. Ive taking my car to the shop so many times with zero success. Well today I decided to take matters in my own hands and started to work on the car.
Come to find out my fuel filter seal was in two pieces and had a big slice down it so it wasn't holding pressure or even getting enough fuel into the engine. I replaced it for 83 cents today and now I can't be happier. No more bogging and messed up a/f ratios.
I can't tell you how much money I wasted with shops that couldn't figure this out. It was plain as day as soon as I pulled the pump.
Wooo whooo :) Sorry but Im so happy I had to tell someone besides my wife.

Thanks Boosted. They kept telling me either my fuel pump was dying or that something was wrong with the injectors.

Man, I should check my pump. I'm trying to remember the details of the install, but I've been suffering from some fuel issues that I was trying blame on either the injectors or Power FC.

You need to find a new shop haha.. although our car's don't have a place to hook a pressure gauge up, a competant place has the adapter set for doing it. I would always check the pump first.

Jesse its worth a try. It only took me about 20 mins.
I hear you SickCelica. I still have to blame it on myself for being lazy and not doing stuff myself.

Good fix! I went ahead and changed out my fuel filter when I swapped pumps so that wouldn't happen...

inside the plastic case where the top of the pump goes in, next to the wires conector on the pump.

Yea toyota sells them for 83 cents and yes It goes on the top of the pump where the top of pump slides inside the plastic case. I guess you could call it the pumps nipple:)
The seal fit the walbro 190 just fine. It just slides on top but dosen't go all the way down the nipple. It will fit the 255 as well.

Thats correct.

The float arm for the sender is probably mechanically hung up on something in the tank
