View Full Version : TRD Front Bumper Plait Holder Thing

Hey wazup, I dont know if anybody knows what I'm talking about but the TRD front bumper has a place for a license plat but I dont like to put a license plait on my car. I saw a pic of a celica that had the TRD body kit and where the license plait would go he had a little medal looking peice that he put on it said Toyota on it. Dos anybody know what I'm talking about and if so where can I get it?

pic plz
i would like to see
i have an 02 action packed gts
when i remove the plate and brackets
the bumper has a whole in it about 3"x9"
and u can actually see the bumper styrofoam thru there
BAD BAD BAD
any1 make a piece to fit in there?
or else im gonna have the body shop fabricate somethin outta fiberglass to fit in there,

The bumper is urethane. Fiberglass will not bond to it. Your shop will have to fill the hole with liquid urethane. This has to be built up in layers, bacuase it sinks when it dries. I had my plate area filled to blend with the rest of the curve of the front and the corner marker holes filled. Looks much better IMO.

im gonna get a fiberglass piece made to snap into the holes that are drilled in for the frame and have it rest in the recess there
it wont sit 100% flush but it will look better than it is now

I just had my shop custom mold the front bumper indentation so its flush with the bumper.

its prob just a piece of metal..cut out...and then a TOYOTA sticker on it....
