Ummmm. I think Ryan has a shot The GTS's are quick but Correct me if I'm wrong doesn't the TL have this thing we don't called Torque,

Oh and speaking of Torque I spanked an Integra last night in my parents Alreo, The dude was wanting to impress his girl and gave me the look and reved I was like sure no prob lets role, I hammered it and even though the thing is Auto I still spun the tires, I could hear him as he fell further and further behind that CAI as loud as can be he chirped 2nd and still couldn't catch up to the 6 cyclinder POS. It was great I almost through on the hazards

Ever taken it to Atlanta Dragway to see what she'll do? I don't know what kind of numbers a TL runs so I dunno. 225 hp doesn't mean much if it's not geared for performance. I've seen 300 horse camaros still runnin 15's cause of sucky gears and weight.

Oh yeah, for instance. My Accord has 150 hp and Todd's Si has 160hp. He whoops my ass whenever we race. Is it the 10 hp? NO. It's how it's geared.

what performance mods do you have? I ran mid 15's when I raced but the GT-S is capable of high 14's or even low 14's on a perfect run (with mods).

You are so off, the GT is even capable of 14 second runs, Maefyln for example ran 14.75 with exhaust, headers, S-AFC, CAI.

Blow Me He had at least Exhaust and Intake I heard them both, and I was bone stock in the Alero, Don't forget priests are people too and racing is fun as long as you keep it reasonable, :D And I am not a fvcking priest, I just help out at my church

Yes, his car is phenominally fast for a GT but have you seen ANY other GTs break 14's yet? NO. He has to have some serious weight reduction too. There arent any GT-S's that have ran under 14's without NOS so my statement stands true. GT-S = low 14's at best with mods, no sqeeze.

I'll introduce you to Ryan even though he constantly is dissing 4cyls Ryan have much to learn too....I have raced a stock 95 Z-28 up to about 115mph and he only beat me by about 1 1/2 car lengths. And the 1 1/2 car lenghts was all in first gear (damn torque) After that we were dead even. Not to mention that I had my A/C running. LOL. Z-28's run in the 13's so don't knock it until you've tried it young grasshoppa. :)

Grass hopper, sorry to say I work 8-5 mon-fri now and will not be able to make it to your school I only had one week between school and work and that week I spent studing for finals and it rained, bring yo friend up to andetti on Saturday, I'll show him that even a GT can beat him, although I am sure that his car is more comfortable to ride in.

System + 18's = slower than stock. 18's are not good for straight line racing IMO.

Completely agree, when I have my system in my car I can feel a big difference in performance. it slows me down big time.

wow...came into this post a little late but i'll say hi anyways. i think the cl would completely take us off the line (lacking in torque sucks!) but i'd be willing to bet we might pull further up. gts's aren't the quickest things in the world but they've got a bit of pull after you hit lift in 2nd-3rd-4th. oh, and i think another good race between this thing would be at turner field. i'll even throw a few bucks down on this...haha :). care to try it? oh, and even if my gts can't take it give me a few months and i guarantee i will have something that will do the job (cough cough...wrx....i drove it yesterday by the way. i think "fast" sums it up pretty well).

I didn't know you got to drive the WRX other then fast how was it I am interested although I am sticking with the Celi as long as I can because I love it and my Celi love is still there, but I am interested in the feel of the WRX the numbers on that thing are just amazing.

it was really nice. felt a ton different than the celica, but i didn't think it was bad at all. we were up on cobb pkwy. so traffic was pretty heavy and i didn't wanna try anything crazy with the sales-lady in the back but i gave it some gas a couple of times and it kinda suprised me. right when that turbo spools up around 3000 it's especially fun, i got the speed up quicker than i expected (actually having torque is really cool!) but then slowed back down on this one little 35 mph road. i'd really like to see how it is throwing it through some turns fast but i don't think the dealers would appreciate that. oveall, i really liked it though and it's making me want one even more now.

Hahahah you thought traffic was heavy did you see the clock tower across from the comp usa thats where my office is I drive there everyday and when you think morning or evening traffic is bad it's even worse during lunch time.

That's awesome about the turbo I think you will need to let me drive it when you get one, could you hear the stock BOV or was it too quiet, My brother in-law's truck is a V8 turbo diesel and you can hear the turbo spin and the BOV very well.

no, i didnt see the traffic but i believe that it probably sucked pretty bad. i guess i'm sorta getting used to it (but i still hate it) since i've been driving about 100 miles a day through downtown since jan. but man am i looking foward to moving about 5 minutes from my school next month. and no, you couldn't really hear the stock BOV but that cool HKS-ss should change that right away :). and if i get it i'll probably let you take it out for a spin too, just go easy on it.

that would be sweet to only be 5 min. from work or school, I would love the luxury, It takes me about 45 minutes to get to work with traffic but when their is no traffic only like 20 - 30 minutes, oh and going home takes an hour and fifteen minutes I hate it. but I get paid well so I need to stop bitching, and don't worry i'll go easy on it.

Yes there is an S version w/ 260hp. But were talking about the 225hp version.

The TL is quick but a GTS should be able to take it NO problem... I have ran with a TL before and beat it twice.. Nice kid in his dads car and all....
Jamie and I have raced a while back and we were very close depending on who got a better launch...
The Type S though would be tough to beat though..

He never seems to remember the story of the second time we met on the road (when I was driving). :)
So we're 1-1 now.
Mark should be proud of the GT-S's that he beat fair and square at the Auto-X. Le'ts hear about that story for a while longer. Hehe
And yes, me and Todd have raced each other every time we've seen each other on the road since 1988. Our record is a Bazillion to a Bazillion I think. Haha, some of you were just learning to ride a bike back then Buhahaha. OMG.
