im defintiely interested. do u have or include instructions on how to wire the whole thing up, and another question, how many leds are needed for each ring?

Yes I can include instructions if you need them or you can just go to satoshi's site which is: http://plaza.umin.ac.jp/~satoshi/modframeen.htm that is the walkthrough I used and the only way I would modify those directions is heat headlights to 250 for 12 minutes, and my wiring is different and much easier than his. If you are interested I can send you the rings,leds,and everything wired all youll have to do is take apart your lights put the eyes in and poke the wiring through the rubber behind your projector., 2 leds are needed per ring. Let me know if you are for sure interested, and what you want so i can add you to the list.

ah so u meet larry in person and that allows you to sell stuff you make on here. seems matt and i didnt figure that out ;)
hah no read the rules, he explained everything to me, every member is allowed to run one group buy as long as he qualifies (been a member long enough, celica owner, etc..) and then cannot make another one for a month unless they become a sponsor.

I can make you blue, it will just be a little more expensive since i will have to buy them in bulk if you can find a few other guys (like maybe 4 or 5) who want blue then the prices will be the same but if you cant then ill have to charge $7 each for blue leds.

WOW this is great! I was going to start asking people to do this actually. When I get my kaminari kit & send my celica to my uncles for the install & paint, ima most deff send out my headlights to you if you can do it within a week :). I'm looking to do this within the next 2 months, hopefully you'll still be available by then! Do you think you can paint the inside the headlights carbon blue for that "ribbed" look if I provide you with paint?

And as nice as they would be in white, think you could get this in red for me & give me an idea on how to make a switch for it? Thanks!

I am no expert in wiring so for the switch part you may need to go to someone else and find out, but yes I believe I can get you red ones but like I told Carbonized because it is a special order I will have to charge $7 for each red led and it may take a little longer because i will have to wait for the leds to come in. As far as the headlight painting, I can do that for you if you really want me to but that of course will also be extra. I'm located in West Chester PA 19382 so you can mapquest it and check how far we are from each other.

5 weeks, til October 15th, everyone said they need some time so ill give everyone time to get thier money together and this will also give me time to get in all the leds needed. I use silicon to reseal the lights, but only if needed because i dont remove any of the stock sealant when i take them apart i just heat it up twice, when i take them apart and then when im putting them back together so they are resealed just like they were stock.

You should not use silicone to seal the headlamps. Nissan sells some stuff that is exactly like the OEM stuff.

Do you have any issues with the rings blocking some of the light from the projector? When I made a pair many years ago, I found the rings blocked some of the light coming from the low beam, reducing the light output. The rings were made to fully fit inside the plastic bezel (I think I used a 2.5" diameter circle to wrap the acrylic around).

no, no issues at all, i can even take pics with my lights on if anyone is curious. the only thing i dont like having them in is you cant really see them when the lights are on obviously. hah so sometimes i just drive around with my lights off so everyone can see my work.

Honestly I didn't do the high beams so I know nothing about the diameter or anything for them. I'm not exactly sure what your referring to when you say the clear plastics but i'm guessing you mean the part that holds the led onto the ring, and all that is is clear packing tape so if you want me to just send you the ring with the leds put in and wrapped with the tape then i can just do that.

those look so sick man, What lights did you switch them for? I'm wondering if it's legal to make those lights shine instead of the daytime lights, and if they would burn out after a while or not... hmm....

I wired into the parking lights, and removed the parking lights so the only lights on would be the angel eyes, I also clipped the wire that makes your DRL run so the eyes are not washed out. Really the ideal time to see the eyes is dusk and night if you like to drive with your headlights off hah (i'm not condoning this). During the day and when your headlights are on the led light gets washed out and you cant really see the rings. As long as the lights are white they should be legal. Thanks for the compliments

I measure then mark before I cut, like I said I am doing these rings like they are my own I want everyone to be happy with the product, everyone says its such an easy job and they can do it themselves but doing its a different story if you want top quality. It's very meticulous.

No, I actually spoke with they guy who is running the group buy for those and he said they are sealed just like the oem ones and there shouldnt be any trouble taking them apart.

I have no idea, its really not that hard to do the install you just have to man up and take the headlight apart, thats really the hardest part.

I'm a fan of angel eyes. They look really slick. And your price is great. I just have to see a couple of good night and day shots of the full car to make my decision. Maybe from the people in the group buy after they install. I want to make sure i'm not going overboard with this. Will there be another group buy?

Aw man...I guess this is what I get for being indecisive, even though I was the first to request 4. I was hoping to order up the 2 sets and take a roadtrip down to you for a quick 1 day install later in the fall :(. I was planning on doing the "Full Control Fog Lights" mod and tap the power from the fog lights so I can have it on once in a while & put red overlays over my fogs....

I'd rather have all 4 sets of angel eyes and LED's...what would you suggest I do? Will you be able to fulfill my order at another time? Let me know, thanks.

Wait a secondddd...this was my last message, remember? I was the first to request 2 sets and I kept to my order of 2 sets. Why am I getting the boot from the gb???

I really don't want to be stuck starting up an interest thread and not getting enough people for another group buy, especially when I was one of the first people to get on this gb. I was really really exited to get these & come down for the install.

Compared to another member's angel eye work that I just saw tonight, I'd rather have mine installed by you! Yours looks really good! If another angel eye gb comes up, I guess you can put me down 1st for 2 sets. Hopefully something can be worked out before or after the snow season hits, let me know please!!! Thanks!

As promised! They will actually be even brighter than this too because I used a 9v battery for power and obviously a car is 12v. I'm really happy with the leds and how it came out, I think you guys will be too! Yes they should light a bit brighter since I am only using a 9v battery.

They are brighter than BMW but the one feature BMW has on the celica is the projectors are lined up horizontally so the angel eyes can be put around the high beam light and it wont get flooded out by the low beam while its on. Also I think they have some type of a tint or special way they shade the light so you can see them during the day, you can really see mine best at twilight and night. They are def. brighter though.

Everyones asking me for an install guide so I will give you a quick one in words since I dont have pics.
Tools Needed: Razor or scissors, 9v battery, possibly soldering gun, oven, clear packing tape, flathead screwdriver and phillips head.

[U]*Before you start you should make sure your headlights are out, and that they will fit into your oven. I also recommend you preheat your oven to 250 before you start unpacking so it is ready to go**[U]
1. When you recieve the package use a razor or scissors to cut the packing tape and bubble wrap, just be careful not to go crazy on it.
2. Carefully take out the wired angel eyes, they will be laying flat with the power and grounding wires coiled. What you want to do is carefully uncoil each wire so it is straight, then move the led legs back down so they are at a right angle to the ring.
3. Take your 9v battery and test the eyes to make sure they light up. If they do not light up it is possible the solder may have broken off during shipping so you will just need to resolder it together.(most likely it won't break but this is just in case).
4. Remove the three phillips head screws on the back side of the headlight. and the bulbs, and rubber caps that fit over the high and low beam lights
5. Place headlight in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 250 (trust me your headlight will be fine).
6. Remove light from oven using oven mitts, take your flathead screwdriver and pry the light open from one point only. Once the you have a large enough gap opened pull the light apart with your hands.
7. Congrats you got your headlight apart succesfully, now the fun begins. use your phillips head screwdriver to remove the housing from the outer cover of the headlight (there are 3 bolts). then remove the housing.
8. Sit the angel eye in the low beam part of the housing, and mark where the two legs of the led sit.
9. You can either drill two holes for the legs or use a serrated knife to make 2 slots.
10. Seat your angel eye back in its position with the legs of the leds in the slits/holes and use clear packing tape to hold the eye securely in its position. I usually tape the middle and the two bottoms of the ring.
11. Put the housing back into the outer cover of the headlight and put the screws back in.
12. Use the two red and black wires (power and grounding) to poke through the rubber cap for the low beam. Don't poke both through in the same spot, make one hold for each.
13. reassemble the headlight pushing it back together as tight as possible.
14. Coil the two wires so they sit closely to the low beam rubber cap.
15. Place lights back in the oven at 250 for 10-12 minutes.
16. Remove light from oven once again with oven mitt, and push the headlight back together so the gap between the top and bottom are like they were originally.
17. Replace the screws.
18. straighten coiled wires out once again and seat lights back into car.
19. On the driver side you have two grounding options, either the fuse box bolt, or there is a bolt located underneath the headlight you can ground to. All you want to do is loosen the bolt and place the naked copper of the grounding (black) wire, then just retighten the bolt. On the passenger side use the bolt underneath the headlight to ground.
20. Remove the parking lights and take the power wire (red) and push the naked copper of it into the back of the plug (there are two wires already in the back of the plug one that is white with a black stripe and one that is solid green, push into the one that is solid green.
21. Repeat for other side.
22. Turn headlight knob one click forward and make sure they work.
23. Enjoy your new custom angel eyes!!

well theres a method to my madness :crazy2: . I pack it like that so there is constant tension on the wires so they can't move around and pull away or break at the solder points. If I used a regular box they would be moving around and stuff so I don't want to take the chance. It may not be pretty but it does the job.

Don't worry about paying for another pair, that shouldn't have happened ill send you two more pair just pm me your shipping info again. What did you test them with, the only reason that would have happened is if you tested them with something over 12v then that will fry them.. maybe the resistor was shot or something but they worked fine when I send them out. Anyway i'm sorry for the inconvenience. As for the rings not assembled or anything that is what you asked for so that is what I shipped, if you look at the list you can see that. Anyway all you will need to hold the leds onto the ring is clear packing tape. Once again sorry but I only shipped what was asked for.

I tested them on teh accessory posts of my optima. I think that the resistor went bad, but I dont have one around here to swap it with so that I can confirm that.

When I placed my order I wanted them complete so all I had to do was poke two holes in the inside of the headlight and sauter wire to the bottomside and run it out of the unit. But as it turns out I had enough clear tubing to make it work.

I sent you a PM with the shipping info for the other led.

They look awesome by the way. I can tell you spent a lot of time making the notches on the back of the rings perfect. They are spaced and all angled the same, I didn't quite know what to expect with so many being made at once, but I am really impressed with the way these turned out. I just want to hurry up and install them :)

i know this doesnt belong here...i had the dual color angel eyez for a while in my car`but you could only see them at night, so i got rid of them and went back to stock( the ring was 2 thick around the projector)....i wonder if there is a way we can bend cold cathodes like the ones they sell for the scion tc....those look sick at day and night... has anyone tryed doing somehting like that?
