Just got back from Harbour City Honda...

Looks like once I sell the Celica... with $5,000.00 and a family that has bought 5 Honda's from that dealership... I'll get into a brand new Honda S2000. Well, I'm going to turbo my Celica and then my fiance is going to take over the payments so lets see what happens. Any feedback on the F20, the S2k, or the Comptech Supercharger?

Ive debated the MRS for so long. I was actually originally going to get one. Dave Draper and I always talk about it. My grandmother dosent like Toyota for the way they have treated me... except David and WCToyota... but we'll see. I like the S2K because I want to grow up alil and get something a lil more grown up.

The S2000 was not as fast as I expected. I drove one with 9k miles on it, and gave it a pretty good run. The VTEC crossover is pretty smooth. Not a real big kick like my Type R or the GTS. The handling of the car was wonderful.

As for the Comptech SC, it's not a bad deal. It does add some much needed low end HP. My friend raced one in his MR2 turbo. He pulled away from it pretty easy. The SC'd S2000 is a nice all around fun car.

Dude, If was gonna get a car that didn't matter about trunk size..

I'd be all over that MR-S..that sucker is TIIIIGHT! Espescially with that cool ass rear valence and wing (the one that extends over the rear tailights). Bad azzz...not too mention quick as a fuggin porsche with looks to match if you get it turbo'd or s/c'd!

Pretty damn cheap too..heh.

Agreed. You could get a highly modded MR-2 Spyder for the same price as a stock S2000. A turbocharged Spyder with a tweaked suspension would also outperform and be a more of an original than a stock S2K. And as good as the S2K looks with the top down, if you've ever seen one with the top up, you'd see it's kinda ugly looking.

I can get the S2k for 23,000 and the CompTech Super for 4500. I havent seen any spiders any cheaper thats my problem. If I could get a spider cheaper... I'd just on it. I just like the luxury of the S2k not really lookin to race anymore... learned my leason's already.

Oh yeah, I don't like the Veilside kit... looks like a Frog and the 5000 price tag turns me off.

Actually someone on my base has just gotten one in a dark metallic grey collor. Kinda looks like the desert silver collor for the RSX's, but a little darker. I love stareing at it when i drive by in the government vehicle when im at work on the base .... last week i saw it for the first time on base and my co-worker said" why do you slow down around this area recently?" .... i looked at him .... smiled .... and pointed to the car. He said " OHH DAMN ... that is a nice car" . I responded with the comment ... it looks sweet stock!:cool:

Personally, if u want sophistication, get an IS 300. Think about it. It may sound stupid but u could have some nice chrome rollers and just cruise w/ the music bumpin, or you could put on the Volk GtR's and be a "racer" in the same car.

IS300: nice but waaaaaaay too overpriced for what it is. Up to 36K for a car with an inline-6 215hp?, might as well look for a used Supra TT use the extra 5K and you have a monster, but then again, I'm looooove supras.

btwn sk2 and spyder, I would have to go with the spyder. But then again, it's your decision and if the s2k seems like a good one to ya....then go for it. good luck!

hmm... i'm all about yellow and white S2K's...but...

the MRS would be really nice... i saw that veilside kit in person at Carlisle and it looks tight... makes it look like a true exotic car... and turbo'n it on top of it, wow... that would be unbelievable...i'd go toyota/kit/turbo instead of the S2K...but it's your car...not mine... just don't do silver on either... it takes away from the "colorful" personality of the two...

I am assuming that $23,000 is for a used S2k. I have seen new Spyders for $21,900 sitting on dealer lots (more negotiaton room) and used ones for $17,000(ish). I like the S2k and think it's a great little two seater, but I don't think of it when I think of luxury. But i know how it is to want a certain car though. Hopefully you have access to another car, because living with a two seater as your only ride becomes tedious at best. I finally gave it up and got the Celica instead. But, good luck with your purchase and I hope it works out for you.

MR 2+ Turbocharger and some money (Boykit) u get a monster great looking porsche maybe even faster than porsche and very very unique!!! in town

s2000... looks old after awhile.. and also.. there are many in town... expensive car for a car without torque.... over priced..

I dont dislike honda... they are just played out here... not an S2k or NSX... but Civics and Integs. In fact my neighbor across the street has one of those Hybrids and he has a VTEC sticker on it. My whole VTEC thing is Civic DX dont come with them... so dont put the sticker on your car. Maybe I should put a GT-M3 logo on my car so that I fool people to think I have a BMW.

A brand new S2K for $23,000? That's like the deal of the decade. How'd you manage that?

Here's a bunch of pics including a new S2000 at an autocross. The new "suzuka blue" paint and blue lether interior is pretty sweet. Looks better in person than in the pics. I'd take blue over yellow.

A good driver with an S2000 can dominate in autox.
