A friend of the family won a brand new 2006 Corvette in a nationwide raffle lottery with the kidney foundation. She was gonna buy three tickets for 25 but figured she wouldn't win anyway and just bought one for $10. Not too bad of a ride for $10 huh? She drove it from Florida to SC after picking it up and that's where the miles came from. Went over there today to take pics for some online ads that I'm putting up for her. She's 60yrs old and would rather use the money for her house than have a brand new Vette. To each his own I guess. Anyway, the vette drove like a dream! Although, I must say I was still happy to get back into my Celica after the test drive. It's weird I know but I just love my celica. Anyway, if anyone knows anyone in the market. She'll let it go for $45k and is considering other offers. Sticker on this one is $50k

You are too young for a corvette. Don't you know they are just really fast walkers for old farts? :D heh

you mean $10 + 30% (not sure if its that low) of estimated value taxed because it was a prize....

all the same... i'd take it.

Exactly, another reason why's she's selling. IRS is taking $10,000

I'm not a fan of the clutch in those. Also interior seems kinda cramped with poor visibility. I enjoy the way the doorhandles work with the little buttons though.

He does look a little out of place in that thing. When I see young guys in expensive cars, I usually have negative thoughts (Punk!). I'm pretty much just jealous of them though.

you need gold chains and lots of curly chest hairs to get a corvette

That's a formula for disaster, because they usually get wrecked a couple of weeks later.

Are you saying you've got to be an Italian or a pornstar?

I would have said cuban, but they are way more suited to Lincoln town cars.

Thats how you rationalize to yourself that you drive a much more inferior car. Trust me...if you could trade your Celica for that you'd do it in a millisecond. Ive autocrossed a Z06 before. Id dump my GTS like a bad habit for it. But yes I still like my car...but I dont dillude myself lol.
