i dont really care what anyone says... i drive my car past severe.... i get a synthetic oil change every 3K...
some will tell you that you can go 7500 miles without one... go right ahead.. but for 15 dollars its a small price to pay for peace of mind.

actually it doesnt matter much.. you can do it yourself too. i get mine done at toyota for a single reason... every time it goes into the dealership they document the status... that way they cant say that have it modded in certain ways...

Hmmm I would avoid Jiffy Lube. Toyota dealers get a LOT of cash work drom people that have had their oil filter or drain plug or whatever left loose... Usually the person whose car it is goes through hell trying to get the jiffy lube to pay....
And besides - Toyota makes the best damn oil filters out there.

Would you recommend buying their oil filters if you do synthetic yourself? I'm not paying them 42 bucks to do a synthetic change.

I reccomend it wholeheartedly. Its what I have always done. UNness its a lease I don't ever let other people work on my cars.
