I just got the Kenwood DPX-6020 and im a little confused about correct installation. As my last HU was a kenwood I just used the old wire harness and attached the ground and it was up and running within 5 min. My question pertains to the number of outputs on the new HU. It has a left/right output and a Non-fading rearleft/rearright output. My old HU had this AND a output where i plug in the subs. So in summary i have 3 sets of rca's (6 total to plug in) and only 4 outputs to plug into. Some way ihave one rca pair plug in and 1 each from the other two in the remainder two outputs. I have sound from all the speakers and subs, but its not hitting like it was with my old HU. also could someone explain non-fading output.

I know this sounds complex the way i wrote it, but if you have the faintest clue to what im talking about pls help.

thanks

I'm thinking that you would want the subs running on the non-fading, but I don't know what to do about the additional set you need to run for the regular rears.

JESUS!! That head unit is huge!
Anyways....
Dude, to be honest.... the reson its not hitting as hard is b/c it onluy has 1.5 volt preamp outs.... Good HUs have about 4-6 volt outs.... 1.5 is pretty low. Also, without a sub out, youll need a pair of y connectors to run the sub amp off of the rear pre amp out.
Non-fading just means the output is not effected by the 'fade' control (fading front to rear) on the HU. to be honest bro... you can get a MUCH better Hu for about the price of that kenwood. Look for one with 3 pairs of pre amp outs and about 4V pre outs.
