I took my car to the dealer for an inspection on sat. They just called me this morning (monday) and say that the inspection is done. And that my car was broken into!
Apparently someone broke my window and took my aftermarket radio (kenwood z828)! They told me that the police was just there and took pictures, and that I can't even touch my car yet.
What do you guys think I should do now?
I didn't get the chance to take a look at my car yet, as I have to leave for work.
And it was raining last nite too, so my car must be wet inside.
I don't know, I think this might be an inside job. Otherwise, out of hundreds of cars in the dealership, they just pick my car out of random? And they know I have a fancy unit? It seems kinda fishy to me, what do you guys think?
I'm waiting for the police officer to call me back so I can find out more info.

On the bright side, the Dealer should fix any damages since the car is under their responsibility. I had my S2000 antenna stolen while my car was at the dealer and they replaced it for me.

Theft at dealerships isn't uncommon. Someone probably peaked in your window, saw an aftermarket HU and decided it'd be a lot easier to take that than steal rims off of a dealer car...

Don't worry about it man, your car will be fixed good as new. And if it isn't, raise some hell.
Although I miss my LCD, I ended up getting a nice fat check for my Celica's stolen goods, plus getting all the damage repaired. That's why insurance is such a good thing to have sometimes.
I was able to get my 30,000 done, get a detail, re-purchase my GReddy A/F gauge that was stolen, get my nitrous installed, plus dyno tune, and a replacement for my busted MAF sensor.
My car is good as new again, and I got alotta stuff done that I would have had to wait for.
I still wanna kill those bastiches that stole my LCD though.

I thought dealers had disclaimers on their lot saying that they aren't responsible for loss or theft??? I believe all the ones near me say this. If that's true it'll be your insurance that pays for it, not the dealer.

There aren't any signs like that in my dealers lot, and they even have cameras out there and the thing still got stolen.
