How can you tell if you have a JDM or USDM Celica. Also, how can you tell if you have the JDM computer

I think he means where it was built. If so, there were none built in the US.

if you wanna know if your celica was built here, just look at your VIN number. The first number or letter represents its origin of "birth". J = Japan and 1 = USA... but to agree with Burrcold, none were built here in the states.

Yes, JDM would be RHD of course.
As for having JDM bit's and pieces like the ECU in LHD Celica, I don't know.
To my knowledge the ecu isn't any different. The TRD Sports M's just made more power because they had full exhaust and intake.
but if you want to rock the JDM tyte ECU check ebay.jp for one.

:bs: JDM Celicas' ECUs have control over many more things like climate control, auto-folding mirrors, power air vents, etc. etc. Which is why it would cost an arm and a leg to get climate control in the US. It would cost well over a grand to get the functionality of a JDM Celica
