What do you think is the best exhaust...Sound and\or performance--

I like how you listed Tanabe racing medallion twice. Oh and everyone knows the best exhaust is NONE ;) Mufflers weigh me down.

Would a catback add more power?

IMO, TRD looks and sounds the best for the street. I hate the look of a big cylinder hanging down right by the rear bumper ala Greddy, A'PEXi, Tanabe... Looks wierd from the side. And while the Kazuma might make the best power, who wants that much noise and riceyness on the street? If I were going to the track where split seconds count, I'd just unbolt the exhaust and get better results than a Kazuma.

TRD, TRM, Blitz, and Apexi are all good in my opinion. The HKS and Greddy are suppose to be quieter than stock. I don't know why anyone would buy an exhaust that's quieter.

Jesse IL, I agree with you on the Kazuma. If you want to make the most hp's from an exhaust, why not just unbolt it. That way you have less weigh plus there's no restriction.

first..tanabe racind medellion is different from tanabe G power...i even called up tanabe and they actually suggested the G power for sound and performance. I also want to aplogize for not including HKS hiper and Greddy...if you think those are better please vote for them under "other" thanx

How do you figure that? If you look at the Kazuma Race exhaust there is little if any restriction anywhere at all. There are a couple of resonators to help keep the drone down..but other than that it is just a straight pipe. Why buy a $700 exhaust that does nothing that the stock system does well enough? The Kazuma sounds like a race exhasut..which is what it is..not a fart cannon that most people put on their cars in the name of performance. Maybe you should do a seperate poll..one in which performance matters and one which sounds/looks/feels nice. That way one would be an objective poll and the other a subjective poll. But then one wouldn't need a poll for something that was objective. lol. I know the Kazuma is the best performing and imo the best sounding...inside/outside the car..on/off lift.

i'm not an expert at exhausts, but i would never have guessed that TRD was the more popular exhaust. just because it seems to have more bends than the others and the exhaust tip isn't that much bigger.

Damn, I'm the only one that likes RMM, huh? It doesn't have that buzzzz that most of them have.

I'm hands down to all of them. I love my 5zigen cat-back exhaust, cause the sound of it is perfect and not so costly.
That my opinion.

Why spend +/- $500 for an exhaust for the Celica? There are no appreciable power gains (correct me if i am wrong) and the stock exhaust seems well made (GT-S version).

Someone fill me in on what all the hype is about.

I don't think this is a vote for the best exhaust but a vote on what people have. I don't think anyone here is going to vote for anything other than what they have. The TRD is the one that is most common. That is why the votes are so high. I heard a lot of exhausts before I bought mine & the blitz is hands down the best sounding. Performance is about the same w/ all the exhaust.

I would never spend money on an exhaust, especially on a car that already has one that is very well made.

Why buy Nike, Addidas etc... ??? It's mostly cause of the name partially cause of the quality (?)

yeah, aftermarket exhaust for this car is mostly about looks and sound....so i pick the TTE (Toyota Team Europe). it sounds great and has 2 small centered exhaust tips
