17" with 235?

i was wondering would 17X8 OZ superlegerra with Bridgstone 235.40.17 S0-3's fit?

i saw on tirerack that the diameter of these tires is about .02 less than 215 45 17 so it actually closer to stock. wondering if they would rub or not if i used hotchkis springs.

I think they would probably rub a little bit. I wouldn't go any wider than a 225.

I went with 215/40. The sidewalls aren't flat they're like this / \ since the rim is so wide. I'm probably gonna go with the 225/45 for my next set of tires to get the sidewall to be flat, even though it will slow me down some.
