head lights + recall?

my girlfriend has a 01 celica headlights work awesome, she said theres a recall on the way that there "to bright" but there cracked to ****, any information on the recall?

It was a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) It said that the daytime running lights (DRL) were too bright and impaired other drivers ability to see your front turn signals. You can take it to a Toyota dealer and they will put in a resistor to dim them down a bit.

A lot of people ignore it, and a lot of people disable the DRL's all together.

I keep ignoring mine. They ARE pretty persistant about reminding me. If I need someone to do something differerent because I am turning, then I am wrong.

I haven't had mine done yet either. Though I did notice that I got flipped off by this guy in front of me for no apparent reason on the way home. Must have thought the DRLs were the brights.

Got the letter and everything but didnt bring mine in they should recall other things for celica lift bolts, belt tensioner etc..

i got the letter too..

just a recall.. meaning they wont charge you. :monkey:

just take it in.. and youl have your car back in about 30 minutes..

Yeah, I got the letter about the DRL from Toyota too, and now, they sent me a letter about the brake. It's stated that Celicas and Echos are experiencing brake problems. It looks like certain parts are rusty and need to be replaced and to be added by a brake booster or something...
I wonder what's for the next letter Toyota gonna send us... Recalling out the car from the street, lol...
