Ok, I changed my pads not to long ago and I think I may have glazed them over since I had to do a quick stop with not even 5 miles on this set of pads. I mean a tire smoking stop too, not just a slow stop. Anyways I ahve noticed now that as I lightly press on the brake pedal at low speed there is this ever so slight rubbing/grabbing/grinding sound coming from the front. I have never glazed a set of pads over but would this cause this problem? The car stops find or seems to but this sound is getting annoying. It actually sounds the same as your brakes do when you have slight rust build up on the rotors after a wash or rain. However, unlike the noise attributted to the rust this sound does not go away with use of the brakes. Anyone have any clues as to what this could be? Or, do you think I should have it checked out?

I had a slight scrapping noise comming from my brakes before, I just flushed them with a water hose and it went away.

The same thing is happening to me but then the nosie stopped for a while so just in case i just bought new rotors and pads before getting my car painted.

It could also be possible that you have air in the lines. This could cause some resonance in the lines. Try bleeding them correctly and check if the rubbing/grabbing/grinding sound reduces or goes away. Other possible culprits are problem with the brake master cylinder or power brake (http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepartment/Brake) booster.
