I'm thinking about jumping up to 19's I had a problem W/ the 18x7.5's rubbing against the wheelwell and was wondering what offset I need if I get 19x7.5/8 like 35, 40, 45 or what?

What was the offset of the 17's? And was the rubbing on the inside or outside of the wheel well?

They were 18x7.5 W/ 225/40 18 tires I'm not sure what the offset was they were standard like that. I had to use 3mm spaces to stop the rubbing. The tire rubbed on the plastic cover just by where it bolts on in the inside of the wheel well. like the front of the passanger wheel would rub on the inside when the steering wheel was turned hard left.

well the lower the better for avoiding that inside edge rub...35 is probably a good bet...if you're lowered, however, there may be a point at which you've gone too low and will rub the outside edge on the lip of the fender.

You have aftermarket wheels, but dson't know the offset, but now you want us to tell you what offset to avoid...
Some help :)
Anyhow, my answer is to go with 19x7.5 and a 5mm greater offset than the 17" wheels you have (they were probably 42 - 44mm offset, so you should be looking at 35 to 38mm offset).

OK I Guess I didn't completely understand the offset thing I didn't know where they measured it from.... I looked it up and currently I have 18x7.5 with 225/40 18 Tires 5x100/114MM Lug pattern and 45MM offset. So what I need to do if I get 19x7.5" wheels is 225/35 19 tires and a 40MM offset

I have Progress springs on my car. They drop it 1.75" front and back. I just put on 18x8 wheels with a 35mm offset and 225/35-18 tires. There is no rubbing, but they are super close on hitting the inside of the fender lip on th eoutside and I can just get my fingers behind the tire between the tire and the strut on the inside.

If they don't hit the strut Perch then they wont coz that part of the strut doesn't move I'm looking into HRE Wheels and they are going to be custom made for the car if I get them.

My point is that if I had 8" wide wheels and was running a 42 offset instead of a 35, I would have more clearance to the inner fender lips but might rub the struts. I'd say 8" wide wheels is as wide as you'd ever want to go.
