I realized that I needed new tires when I spun out the other day on wet payment going pretty slow around a turn. :p

Anyway, I'm pretty broke right now so I'm looking for some decent tires that are pretty cheap. I found some Kumho ECSTA AST tires for $54/tire and it seems to have good reviews? What do you think? Can you recommend any other tires for around that price?

Also, my current tire is 205/50/16, and they offer the new tires in 205/50/16 or 205/55/16. Which will be the better choice? I'm lowered on sportlines, so which tire will fill in the wheel gap better and which tire will make my car sit lower?

Thanks guys.

Brother's got Kuhmo's. Great tires. Perfect for a budget.

for about $100 each you can get some Yokohama AVS ES100's. Guaranteed to perform :). For the price I think they're pretty good. Kumho's are better for a tighter budget however. And if you want even cheaper... Cooper, Duralon, or other Wal-Mart type tires.

205/50/16 would be a better choice than 205/55/16, unless you have a smaller than stock rim.
