Im gonna be replacing the front brakes on my 02 Celica. Probably going to be getting them from buybrakes through larry.
Here are my options
First, Choose Your Rotors (Brembo Aftermarket, Brembo Sport, Power Slot)
Next, Choose Your Pads (Axxis Metal Masters, Axxis Ultimates, Hawk HPS)
Then, Add Brake Lines? (StopTech, Russell)
What would be the best combo of those for hard street driving?
Slotted, cross drilled, OEM?
Also, what difference does the SS brake lines make? Just keep them from going soft when the fluid heats?

I went with power slot rotors and EBC Ultimax pads, good combo for not a
lot of cash...
If I were you I'd save the $$ on the SS lines and save up for the GTS rear disc conversion. You can usually pick up all the parts you need from the junk yard for $300-$400.

I ordered the Powerslot rotors with the Hawk Performance pads. Yea, not getting the SS lines.

Install is easy, I have done brake lines before. Hardest part is bleeding the brakes.
I want to upgrade to Mogul(SP?) brake fluid, but I am afraid if I flush all of my brake fluid, I wont be able to get all of the air bubble out of the lines.

It is easy to flush the brake fluid, just keep bleeding out the old fluid till its low in the master cylinder then start adding the new fluid if its a different color than the OEM fluid it makes it a lot easier to tell when the new fluid is starting to come out, just repeat at each wheel till all the old fluid is out. If you have ABS do not let the master cylinder empty.

The bottle of Motul says not to mix with other type of fluid. Would doing it this way cause any issues?

well you dont want to mix it and use it mixed with other fluid but if you are using the fluid to help flush out the old fluid you'll be fine, just make sure to get all the old fliud out

good suggestion... I initially went with the following:
- Stoptech slotted front rotors
- Stoptech SSBL's
- TRD pads
Then I swapped everything out for a TRD BBK and did the GT-S rear disc conversion with Stoptech slotted rotors, rear SSBL's, and new pads in the rear as well. Skip my first step and just do what I did in the end. You'll love it and the difference from stock is unbelievable.

That sounds like a really good setup. I did the brake conversion. I am looking at more brake upgrades.
