Why is the police in Brisbane like to HIDE behind trees and like to use laser gun when ppl going down HILL??

well for sure.... the car will exceed when it's going down hill, but they still have to catch those ppl exceed 6-7km/h....

Just got a few question wana ask u guys,
Will the police get the bonus dollar when they caught someone speeding?
I heard from my friends that, by law... if the police caught u and swear on u, like F*** or S*** , u can complain on them and they won't gv u a ticket ...... is this true?

Kennly, I hear you man.

The fact that cops stoop to such levels to book people and they now book you for doing 6-7km/h over the limit simply proves that speed enforcement is a revenue raising exercise rather than a safety issue.

The best example is in Canberra, where they have private clerks (not police) employed to man speed cameras. When public servants are administering speeding offences, it is no longer law enforcement, it is REVENUE RAISING!!

Anyway, until the morons in positions of power reaslise that creating an environment where people have to drive looking at the speedo rather than the road, because they are scared of losing their license for going 2km/h over the speed limit - there is not much we can do about it.

Sorry about this winge, but this is a subject which really gets my blood boiling.

i seen a clever set-up once. the cop was bhind a tree getting u go past. you drive through the traffic lights n there is a highway patrol ready to catch/ chase.
how sly is that, they are about 200m from each other

Yes the best example is in canberra.. Warning! Do not speed in canberra! There are cameras everywhere... We have red light/speed cameras everywhere and also taragos parked on the side of roads with speed cameras plus the usual radar guns etc. Its hell!!! I got booked for doing 88 in an 80 but the guy tailgating me didnt get booked. :(

I also got pulled over when i was doing 80km/h in a 80km/h zone. The cop said i came out of a road work zone too fast. He let me off, otherwise it would have been a $500-600 fine. Grr!! No more speeding more me!

Why u got penalty on the FOG LIGHT on?
Try to write a professional letter and complain the cops, remember to put his name and reg no in the letter.
Last time i got the same situation as you, and the cops write back a letter apologise to me, and i don't have to pay

**** that paul, the cops are pricks. Always tring to get young people in cars.

I was driving on sun morning on the hume highway near greenacre, doin the speed limit. it was bout 2am and not many cars around. anyway, up ahead were two cars in the left lane either stopped or going slow so i jumped to the middle lane, then, the ****wit jumped to the middle lane and stoppd next to the other car about 50metres ahead, i swerved, and accelerated, and all of a sudden the highway patrol behind me pulled me over for doing 93 in a 70 zone. Didnt care less about the guys who double parked on the hume highway. He was a prick, and honestly if I wasnt so tired I would have kept arguing all night. Im writing a letter, and I will go to court if i hav to.
I am so sick of this **** that people have to put up with. The cops are so busy defecting for the most stupidist reasons: "foglights & bald tyres on a brand new car" that parking my car anywhere is becoming a big risk. someone always has to stuff around with cars, wherther it be valve caps, or fingerprints, or key marks.
I had to get that off my chest. :)

A friend of mine got pulled over one day when we had 2 girls in the back for doing a 2nd gear chirp in his gt starlet (it had a seriously bad name with coppers around the sunny coast), and he (the driver) got dragged out of the car by one cop and got a big earful, and the other came up to the window of the car and said:
'well i thought i'd come and say good bye, because your ****head mate here is going to end up killing you lot'

on of the girls in the back then replied:
'EXCUSE ME, there are women present here officer, i dont take kindly to swearing'

that put an extremely strange look on the officers face. he turned back to his mate who was drilling hte driver, said a few words, and they let him off completely. this guy had lost his license twice, driving around on a suspended license, tryed to outrun the cops, the 2nd gear chirp, not to mention his car had enough modifications to make dept. of transport officials see $ signs. but as soon as she said that, he backed off quicker then any copper ive ever seen.

this isnt to say you can do them for swearing, but i found it extremely interesting how he reacted.

p.s. I live in sunnybank. For those of you that are familiar with brisbane, and sunnybank maccas on the thurs night, you'd be able to guess my opinion about cops ;)

Nah, he doesnt live in sunnybank. Originally i lived on the sunshine coast, his starlet is wrx blue with a body kit (unsure of which body kit type).

I own a white sx 2001 celica, i'll be out tomorrow night no doubt, as long as the copper factor is a little bit quiet :)

No mods as yet, only got my celica recently and have been trying my best to find aftermarket bits here in australia, but with no luck. I've got the injen short ram intake and the hotchiks lowering springs on their way over at the moment from the states, but I have no idea how long they're going to take to get here.

There are alot more aftermarket parts dealers in NZ for this kind of thing, however im not sure if the celica was released into the NZDM, so i'm not sure whether they'll have anything at all. But if they do, it'd be so much cheaper to get a hold of :)
