I'm going to put my '85 Supra on the tracks - I could use any advice or suggestions. Primarily, right now I'm looking for a rollcage and a racin seat... Any ideas for this area???

check out a forum site for Supra's. they'll give you better advice on it than a Celica site. racing seats though, pretty much Sparco or Bride. you could also go with Tenzo, TRD, and stuff like that too!

First of all, I'd say find a good supra forum, I'm sure some members on here will be able to suggest one.
Second, once you find that supra forum, post this same question in the florida regional
secton. ;)

I think you will find much more unseful info here:

I also think you will be way outgunned... Though the BMW's are gone so it won't be quite as bad.
You will likely do best haveing a local cage builder do the safety stuff up to SCCA specs. With Sebring just around the corner, I'm sure you will be able to find a good shop. If you want one of the best, plan to tow to Alabama for Kirk Racing to build it for you.
I love the suggestions for "Bride" or "Tenzo" race seats. Obviously this person knows nothing about IT racing. You will want to pick a seat before you get the cage done, that way they can mount the seat with the cage. It will make life much easier that way.
If you get a seat that has FIA approval you won't need a back brace.
Again, the IT forums are a much better starting point.

You already got some advice for the cage and seats so I'll just add these:
The Celica Supra you have is a little heavy so like some ppl suggested you need to gut it and bring weight down. Though it's old, there's still parts available for the 5M-GE engine. Make it breathe better. You have a pretty solid chassis for handling purposes. Have the diff checked/upgraded, some of these generation Supras where known for breaking the thing.

Start by getting the SCCA GCR. IT rules allow for some weight reduction, but not everything can go.
