View Full Version : No More Hood Spoilers!!... New Hood finally

Ok well i know 99.9% of you hated the hood spoilers but i always spent my money on something else and just kept putting off a hood. well I got a good deal so i figured i'd go for it.


Hood is just generic cwings Invader hood. It has oem c/f hood scoop that seemes the 1st owner glued it on with epoxy. I was gonna pop it off but i kinda like the oem scoop. Not as much going on with the hood so doesnt overwhelm it.


It has a great coat on it now but i'll probably get it cleared in december with my wing. There is a gap on each side of headlight but at shows the hood is open anyway ;)


There is also slight gap at the moment at the front becasue i didnt put it hood pins on (ordering new ones these are not good looking) so it will hold the hood down more then just the latch.


I know most of you dont read just look at pictures then ask the questions i already answered but oh well ;)

BTW the red celi is Jokker (Jessie), he was kind enough to bring the hood from the seller in orlando

Great upgrade! I couldn't stand how those hood spoilers looked ...

You needed a carbon fiber hood anyway, to go with your carbon fiber interior. :thumbup:

lookin good, i still need to get one, i have to save up tho i only like the vis invader cuz i think the oem hood scoop looks odd on an invader hood. thats just me.

can u do a chop? in december i am getting my wing and the rood recleared and i can get it painted parts there if somethign strikes me. thanks everyone :)

Looks very good Dan! I'm mad at myself for not picking up the same hood when a fellow SoCal member was selling it for only 75 bucks.

wow you hood looks great! i always wanted one of those hoods, but i would think it will look more agressive with a raised hood scoop!

Yeah, raised hood scoop looks a lot better... :)

Hood spoilers just look out-of-place, and I don't really see how they add to the aerodynamics ...

I love the hood spoilers. The new hood looks like crap IMO. Definitly doesn't match the VS.

Hey man, the computer I'm on won't allow me to see pictures, so I can't compliment your car......but I'm sure it still looks good. My car has been painted while I've been here in Iraq, and I painted the outside part of my hood. I should be getting home in about 20 days or so, and I'll post pics of my car with the hood painted so you can see how it would look.........since are cars are practically twins.

Here is another option for painting invader hoods that I like better. this is a friend's car from Dallas. The pic isn't great, but the paint is only on the outside of the cowl. there is also a small accent pinstripe just outside of the bottom of the cowl on both sides that runs up the entire hood. So you have the blue paint, then small stripe of CF, then small strip of blue paint.

I use to have CF hood spoilers I liked hood spoilers when they first came out on as the TRD hood spoilers then they boot legged them like crazy so I got them in CF to be more rare then they bootlegged those lol.

Swingfixer that does look very nice. i have seen quite a few examples but not sure yet. i have abit of time to decide so we'll see

It's about time Dan. :D Definitely paint some of that hood spec blue. There's a lot of ways to go about that, as you know. Aside from the ones posted above, there's the pattern Julia did too. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Dan that looks GREAT man! I never liked the hood spoilers, neither those tacky fender flares people sometimes put on.

This new hood adds even more aggressiveness to your already aggressive kit, lovin' it alot :thumbup:
