As if this subject hasn't been beaten to death....

Just wanted to let you all know....I have 42K miles on my car...have a CAI, no CEL problems, but my car was starting to feel sluggish...I cleaned my MAFS and it really wasn't dirty so didn't make much of a difference....so I went and got Chevron Fuel Injector cleaner (costco $9 for 4 16oz bottles)...put it in when I filled up my tank and BAMM!!! just about burned through a half tank of gas and the car feels incredibly responsive and much peppier.

So here's the point...if anyone's got that sluggish feeling or a CEL problem...clean your MAFS and try some injector cleaner (might take a half tank before you really notice a difference). I'm guessing that'll fix your problems.

I reccomend Chevrons High octane gas as well as their injector cleaner. The Techron fuel addative is (for a change) not just a bunch of BS - it is a pattented addative that does a good job. Chevron also has some patented refining processes that seem to do a better job than other manufacturers. Strangely enough Mobil (who I always thought had a decent product) actually has way higher sulfur levels than they ought to. Sulfur is one of the things that will clog your injector nozzles as well as making your exhaust smell like rotten eggs.

Lucky you....Unfortunately there are very few places there Chevron gas is sold...

Check the link for locations:

Does it cost the same as your average gas or more expensive?

Its just normal high octane gas prices - an chevron is readily available in some parts of the country. If you contact your states department of weights and measures they may have studies on the fuel quality of the different companies that sell in your state.
