View Full Version : Worst Drivers

I'd like to propose that Canberra has the worst drivers in Australia.

If anyone does not agree, could they name another city where they have had to erect "Don't Tailgate" signs in order for drivers to show others the slightest courtesy on the road?

Yesterday, while driving home in the wet, I was doing 110km/h in the overtaking lane going up hill. There is only one car in the left lane, but the stupid beyotch decides to pull out in front of me at about 80km/h just as I am overtaking her!! If I hadn't had ABS I probably would have plowed into her. I beep my horn to say "What the hell are you doing, there is a car here?" and she looks at me like "What's your problem".

Instead of booking competent and courteous drivers for doing 2km/h over the speed limit, cops should be tracking down morons like her, pulling them out of their cars through the window and cleansing the gene pool with their service revolvers.

Sorry about this rant - I'm just getting sick of people endangering my life with their inconsideration, incompetence and negligence.

it was a cuzin's 18th bday...so the drivers were bascially all my cuzins..family party..
after the party we headed to the city and on the hume highway my cuzin in one of the rex's lost control and went ova 2 the side of the road...
a 4wd smashed into the passenger side the passenger died trapped in the car..the passenger was a friend of mine..also the bday gurl was in the car with her boyfriend..they are both in hospital with broken bones..
the driver my cuzin jus a broken shoulder bone..
me and my other cuzins in the other cars had to turn back and see the accident and the 15 year old kid dead in the car..
it was the worst experince jus seeing it..

the message..take it easy on the roads..dont think your king ****..
if a AWD rex lost control..we would have been ****ed up..

remember your life means more than a race, so take it easy on the accelerator

Hey Matty,

I agree but there are bad drivers everywhere. Where you going up the park way when that happened? I had a similar instance but i dont have ABS but i was lucky enough not to lock up.

The tailgating signs are a joke!

00BlueSX,

It was on the Monaro highway, but I know what you mean about the parkway - people seem obsessed with being in the right lane even if they are doing 20km/h under the speed limit.

I've lost count of the number of times that people have pulled out onto the road in a 80km/h zone and putt along at 40km/h. They seem quite happy to slow others down and inconvenience them rather than wait 5 seconds for a clear space to pull out!!

There's just no consideration for other drivers. If someone can do something however stupid, illegal or dangerous, just to get in front of another car, then they don't even hesitate.

The part that infuriates me is that they are recklessly endangering our lives and pride and joy (cars).

It only takes one mistake for a tragedy to occur - just like xtravagent_boi's story.

I agree Matty P, consideration, or lack of it, is the main problem on our roads.
