F@#$ I lost to a focus

First off let me say how pissed off i am. i feel like i was robbed. and i am embarrased, i am humiliated. i am so pissed off. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. ok let me explain. at a car show, this kid always talking smack about every ones car. he has the fastest focus is the S. fla area basically. he runs a 15.9. anywas hes said to me i want a peice of a celica, i have never had a peice. so i fisrt didnt want to, i had a bad feeling i was gonna get a racing ticket. i did anyways, i was so so nervous i had this bad feeling it the pit of my stomach. so we go out in front of the tower shops plaza. he wants to race form a stop. so he stops, i pull along side of him. i rev up, he drops the hammer, then i drop it. im not frikken going anywhere, i am like WTF is going on, why god why? he pulls 10 cars on me easy. so he was on his way home, i pull a U-y and go back. meanwhile there were a good 50 people watching the race, lotsa people betting on me to win. so i came back ashamed.
i knew the kid because i talk to him everytime i come down so S. Fla. he has an AEM intake, a power pulley kit, a diablo chip, and a 4-2-1 header, and hes lowered. still thats not much power. i lost horribly.

as i pull up i smell something nasty, the same thing i smelled when i launched. well as i was leaving, i hoped in my car, and put the e-brake down. and i was like ahh. and i realized, yes i raced with the FRiggin e-brake up, and yes, i ate it up. i was so so pissed. you dont even know. he got the best of me. hes gonna be there tommorow, and i cant say "hey by the way i raced with my ebrake on." i woulldnt belive that crap. damn i am so friggen pissed. now everytime i go there hat bastard is gonna tell me he beat me, and hes gonna tell everyone else there too. and everyone is gonna think i am slow. this is like starting from scratch, dammit!

Well in order to boost my self esteam, i raced a gti or vr6 or something like that a brand new one, on my way out, and i kicked the crap outa him, but he came back toward the end.

ok heres how i know i coulda beat that focus. the kids From UF that were watching, one of them had a focus, he is running 16.2 1/4 mile. thats .3 slower than the one i raced. well we went on 595 and we raced like 3 times, i pulled like a race horse passed him all three times. so this is bogus, i shoulda won. i am so so so so so frikken mad! dammit. ahh ! if i wasnt a wuss i would beat someone up.

what should i say to this kid, tommorow nite? he will be there i know it he always is???? someone help me? i hope he realizes that something on my end went wrong, theres no way unless i was a 20+ second car , that i woulda lost so bad. dammit dammit dammit. (my brother told me that it looked like i was standing still LoL)

i know its slow. its fun making this slow car go as fast as it can though. to make a car like this a 15 second car, takes some skill. but you are correct, 13's and 12's are real cars. well i my mind its slow if it doesnt hit 13's.

Yeah, he can shift pretty quick at least faster than I can...and no he doesn't have all that heavy equipments in his car either.
I remember seeing the dyno for focus with some bolt-ons in a magazine, and no... they weren't that impressive. I just can't remember the exact #'s. Go race him again, dude... then punch him in his eye.;)

I'm surprised you lost. My boy's Focus runs 16.7 bone stock. I can't believe for a sec that car will get in the 15s with only boltons and a chip. Does he have some type of weight reduction?

Well i lost because the e-brake was up. i dont have a system yet, so it wasnt that. my brother told me it looked like i was standing still. im sure it looked like i was dragging myself, until i wore the brake out that the wheels were able to spin.

The other thing. his 15.9, i mean i would beat him i know, but i also think that that is a little fast for that car. it doesnt make sense. right before that i saw him take a v-6 mustang like it wasnt anything, he raped it. i dunno, its plausible i guess with a crappy driver in that v-6 mustang, but those are low 15 second cars (the new one) stock.

Im so pissed , i screwed up pretty bad, i couldnt sleep last night, i was like, man i ate my front tires on that launch, i ate my back tires, i ate my e-brake, and i lost to a frikken focus.

I really want revenge, but i dont think it is the smartest thing to do. thats place is crawling with cops. its very very risky.

15.9 is kinda slow for his mods... my friend ran 15.6 with Intake, catback, pulley and chip!!!!

It would appear that your options are somewhat limited:

1. Accept the fact that you were defeated by a Focus in a boneheaded move on your part. As a result you will be derided and ridiculed by all those who witnessed the debacle and the Celica community at large for a period not to exceed three years.
2. Challenge the Focus to a rematch in which case you could win, be caught and incarcerated by the local police resulting in impoundment of your car, loss of license and skyrocketing insurance rates.
3. Accept the fact that **** happens, stop whining and get on with your life.

a. pull the p(or e)-brake

Yes, they are the same thing. The "Emergency Brake" term is older. If you were driving along and your hydraulic brake system failed, you could use the "Emergency Brake" or "Parking Brake" to stop the car safely. In an emergency, you're not supposed to pull the handle all the way, dumbarse. You pull it up gradually as to not lock the wheels. Also keep steering straight if possible.

Well people like myself who have had private driving school, lessons whatever. m dad didnt want to teach me how to drive in his cars, so he had someone paid someone to teach me. lol. well anyways. according to the DMV , when parking you are supposed to park, put the car in nuetral or park, then lift the e-brake to secure the vehicle, its just how i learned. everytimei park my car i lift the brake to it doesnt roll, and sometimes when i come to a stop, i am too lazy to hold my foot on the brakes so i lift the e-brake. so i naturally pulle dalng side him, stopped, and because i was so nervous, prolly wasnt thinking, and pulled the damn thing up. and no i didnt see the light obviously or i woulda not had the brake on. i was right under a road lamp, i was more concerend at what RPM to hold her at than whats speed or gad or engine temp. i never look at those until i am already moving.

I always use the ebrake when I park. usually I dont have to use the Ebrake at a light. I can just take my foot off the brake and it wont move. Ohwell, bad luck.

Hey dont sweet it! I lost to a 4.6 Mustang GT back home. I was so embarrased cuz he thinks he's all big, so i told him... if i beat u, will u shut up?... heh anyway he pulls on me bad! All I said to him was that I miss shifted cuz I kinda did... so I asked me to race me again, this time i pulled oh his bitch ass bad! After that he wanted to go yet one more time since we were 1-1 and sure enough... i beat him by like 6 cars or so. Just offer him another race in front of his buddies... he cant turn ya down! Oh by the way, i dont have a celi... in case u all are wondering how i beat a mustang gt.

Don't sweat it, we've all done stupid stuff. :p I did so much stupid stuff when I had a bike. One morning in like Feb (still cold as hell) it was barely nice enough to break out the bike. I'm gettin ready for school (early in the morn :o ) ... It's been 1 month since I've ridden it so I check all the lights. Make sure all the turn signals work. Check the brake lights... tap the front right lever - good, tap the fron left foot lever....... hmmm this brake isn't working. Tap it harder... *click* :shocked it goes into first, stalls, rolls past my kick stand and falls on it's side. FYI the rear brake is on the right and I about smacked myself for doing that. But what can ya do but laugh it off :D

I thought my Focus LX 2.0 130hp auto was pretty ballzy. I think the Focus has more torque than the Civic, but damn, the gas mileage on this car sucks. Hell, my Celica has a better gas mileage.
