I wonder how functional those wheels are (i.e. weight, how they stand up to scratches, cooling (or lack thereof) for brakes, etc.).

That has to be for show only. On the streets it would get scuffed, swirl marks, dust, dirt, etc. Wouldn't be so pretty.

Wow those are the wheels that everyone thought was a magical photoshop and could never exist. Glad someone finally made a video for it...
I love the comments "Sure they're great for street and show.. but how would they handle on a GT track?"
It's like... hello track cars don't have 20" rims...

If they were hella light and less expensive than forged rims, it might be worthwhile. I'd just as soon have mine in a solid color though...

I'll stick with colored wheels. That's just weird rolling on clear wheels. Imagine seeing that on the highway. Floating car rotors spinning. Crazy definitely a show piece. Looks like a solid piece of plexiglass.

Yeah those clear wheels definately for show only, because there is no cooling for the brakes, plus imagine brake dust buildup... & on rainy days I can see it totally fogging up where you can't even see through it anymore.

Those are cool, I bet they'd flex and crack on a hard cornere though. You'd want one for shows, that way you can keep the regular rims on three corners, and the clear ones to show off the big brakes on just one.

They explained all that in the video. They are coated with an anti static material so dust doesn't build up.

2" Polycarbonate used in the space shuttles. If their windows don't crack upon takeoff and landing I doubt some cornering will do anything to these. There is alot of R&D behine them.

After 1 drive around the block, the brake dust will screw them over appearance-wise. And you have to take them off to clean them... !!!???
