Just got pulled over going 65-70mph on the H3 before the tunnel..

The cop said I was doing 90, @_@

Then I said my car can't do 90, and she replied
"I had to catch up to you going 90!"

but oh wells... Life goes on.

Thank god she was nice enough to let me off with a warning.

I think its cause she didn't have proof that I was speeding.

gah

Wow can't believe you got a warning doing 90 on the freeway. umm why can't your car do 90??

and that is why i drive slow...so i don't have to worry about being tagged for speeding ;)

if this was before the tunnel going UP...that's probably why she let you go. you were only going maybe about 5 mph over the speedlimit. but if you were before the tunnel on your way FROM windward...then you got lucky since the speed limit over there is 45.

after my friend got a couple i figured it wasn't worth it. even going 65 i don't get home much faster than if i was going 60 or even 55. the only thing that i do sometimes is speed "up to speedlimit" then i cruise... hehe although i could probably get a ticket for exhibition of speed. =P

yeah that speed limit change is a killer because it's sudden. although the trap is usually right outside the long tunnel, not at the part where you catch a lot of speeding rolling downhill. police know slopes dont hold up well in court.

I used to see a cop sitting in an SUV at the bottom of the tunnel, when you go DOWNhill, and windward-bound. My friend got a ticket from a cop at that spot before and they had gotten the speed off a car in front of her. She went to court to try to fight it but didn't win it, so she chose to do community service.

What was the sentence before community service? Damn, that's pretty severe.

Sorry, I don't remember how fast she was going, but she and the speeding car in front of her were both the same color. They had given her the choice of a fine (don't remember the amount) or community service.
