View Full Version : Endlinks resurrection
I have to post agian about endlinks.
I have been using oneblackgts endlinks for several months.
I believe they are not good at all. My mechanic also says the design is poor. The ball joints are weak and won't last.
I have been riding crippeled on those links.
I replaced them for Tein non adjustable links (I own the last adjustable in the country, so don't bother). A world of difference about them. Much better is an understatement. PM and I can give you the part# and the right person to speak to.
Tein has been over the top great about everything.
Here is the quick vid I shoot. I was owed a favor and took it at a shop. My mechanic was busy. Otherwise, the clip would be more entailed.
Click on the red red to download. Sorry about that.

thanks for the feedback. I will try to redesign another set of endlinks soon. I haven't heard back from my other tester yet. Keep me in touch with the new endlinks.

wassup guys....do any of you guys know where thor went? i pmed him but no response. i want to know how and where he got those tein endlinks when i heard they stopped selling them. i could use a set of four of those badboys.
I'm here. Tein currently doesn't have any endlinks for sale for our Celicas. They only in the past and will in the future include front endlinks with their dampers. The 4 endlinks were from either Hotchkis who will never make anymore for our Celicas or Hypermotive who isn't either.
Tein doesn't promote the adjustable links anymore. All of the endlinks either adjustable or non-adjustable and can be ordered only through a Tein distrubuter. Tein will be more than happy to help with that all around if you call them. You might get lucky with a set.
The price is $36 a piece, rather cheap. Shipping will take 3 months from Japan, but you can get them air mailed if money is no problem.

The reason why the endlinks give up is because the sway bars are too stiff for the endlinks, especially the fronts. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.

Im only using the factory sway bar so I think I will be ok. Just want to get rid of the end link rattle and the Tein endlinks cost less than the factory end links
Tein's customer service is top notch these days. It all depends on who you talk to.
I stand corrected. I might have to order a set myself.
The endlinks give because it's the weakest link in the equation with a stiff suspension or because they are not adjusted correctly adding more strain to them with any sway bar.
Plus the ball joints on Teins' own adjustable links are inferior to the non adjustable links.
Many people have a hard time with the coilovers as is. Just imagine throwing in preloading a sway bar and endlinks that are adjustable, but aren't set from the factory.
I'm sure Tein had it with that and dampers for the streets/sometimes track use.
Can anyone set up the endlinks or do you even bother? Do you bother getting an alignment, corner weight and balance? Most, if not all won't bother spending the time or money to do any of those things other than a cheap alignment that isn't right. Most won't set up or tune their coilovers.
I think Tein realized this and i'm happy they did.
