Scion Evolution xA Rally Car
At knott's scary farm scion night event, two of the largest southern california scion clubs were given the opportunity to show off their creativity. The two teams unveiled their version of scion xa to the public. Both cars shined under the spotlight, but se rally car definitely showcased something off the wall. The first scion xa rally car was born.
As an ongoing project promoted by scion corp, se socal was given this opportunity to build a scion xa according to their liking (along with a comfortable budget to make it possible). Scion evolution took a risk at the styling game. What better way to continue selegacy than to break out of the mold and take it to the next level. Se has always been raising the bar and setting the standards, so why not continue the trend and build something that is out of the norm but still is cutting edge and can give ideas to other tuners/fabricators/modders.

DEAR GOD.
Did they work on the motor? I doubt a stock xA motor is any good for rallying, even if it's just an entry-level rally car.
So far, Toyota's current rallycar lineup have been AWD or RWD. I, myself, have never seen or read about a FWD Toyota rallycar.

They have a 7th gen celica rallycar..
Also I'm surprised they kept the stock dashboard intact and didn't opt for some sheet metal instead.

it's not gonna be in the WRC, but probably in the SCCA rally series. It'd get its butt whooped in WRC.

are you kidding me? its not even WRC material. read it again... its an entry-level rally car. It'd get its rear end handed, even by the "somewhere at the bottom" Hyundai team

ah, i forgot the oh so huge <20mm TRD sway which is next to useless. About the only thing it does is get rid of some of the large amounts of factory induced understeer.
When I saw the car in Miami at the private event they held, I was in a suit. I wasnt trying to get down on the ground in those clothes but I did get a look at the struts and coils. stock for sure unless they flat blacked something else.

Yeah it was on stock struts/shock at the Miami event since it was being transported to Miami. We had HKS and TRD coil overs for it and are still working on the Dirt setup but we are testing a Tarmac setup with Progress Technology. Progress also might help on a longer travel setup for us in the dirt but for now we are trying out different spring rates for the Tarmac setup.
The S.E.R.T. xA is also in the March issue of HCI released last Friday also
Check out the updates and for more info check out this link

Update :AF: looks like the S.E.R.T. team is at it again some quick updates:
No sleep for the wicked up at 5am in the morning to go test out a new suspension set up (more info to come)... The xA looks just as good in Tarmac setup! Just remove the qwick disconnect light pod and put on some J2 410's shoes with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa R compund rubber soles and she is ready for the track.

Here is a couple of pics of the suspension (sorry for the pics quality but it was late ;) ) I think the preliminary specs was a 1.5

Do you mind me asking what your going to do with this car?
SERT_01
01-29-2007, 04:08 PM
Sure...
To have as much fun with it as possible, be it on a Tarmac, dirt entry level rally whatever we can do to see what this thing can handle and so far it has suprised me. Sure it is underpowered and odd but who cares it is a car and with it's weight we can work on the power. Plus several companys are working on this project to test parts on it since the Scion scene is so hot in the market now.
So maybe next month we have the obx turbo on it, maybe not all I know is that I have a chance to work on a Rally car project and having fun doing it. unfortanely my 1972 Celica is still on stands and the 18RG is a conversation piece but I will get back to it someday and finish that retro IMSA project; until then I will be taking on the h8ters and smiling the whole time having fun playin with the xA.
Peace :wiggle:

I havnt seen the ST215 in WRC yet.
If that "haters" comment was towards me, I still hold no place in my heart for this car. To me the car was made for middle aged women. Its a Shoe.
BUT i give him props for the work, dedication and build quality of the car.
