who knows how much a mechanic will charge..im guessing anywhere from 50-100. its a very simple job..if you have no experience it should take you 20 minutes. all you need is:
1)a belt tensioner/remover kit from autozone(you just pay 35 bucks or so and you get it back when you return it)
2)jack to lift up the front passenger side wheel (makes it a whole lot easier to remove the wheel as well)
3)a friend to put tension on the bolt because its a pain to get the belt on the last pulley
4)gatorback belt
after i put mine on i didnt hear any squeaking sounds.

^ The above is for changing the belt only. To change the belt tensioner will require the engine mount to be removed so you can jack up the motor, because the long bolt holding the tensioner will not clear the frame otherwise. The trick is to raise the motor just enough so the bolt can move out over the frame rail.

I am changing mine today as well
Poly-V Belts Gatorback Goodyear
4060605 Poly-V, w/o AC (1ZZFE) 6PK1535
4060740 Poly-V, w/AC (1ZZFE) 6PK1880
4060763 Poly-V (2ZZGE) 6PK1940
so to clarify how to re-apply the tension on the tensioner pully then?
do I just go counterclockwise on this bolt

pull toward the front of the car to loosen.

a pipe or remover kit deffinitly would help. we were using sockets then a wrench on the socket while 1 held it on, 1 pulled and i was below to lossen it. 1/2 the time the socket was dropped onto me below ;) the right tool for the right job is deffinitly important ;) though we also discovered that day that my waterpump was leaking. damn toyota :)
