My dad is getting a car

My dad is looking for a comfortable, reliable car for 12-14k. He wants to pay cash, and I figured who better to ask then the people who seem to know everything about cars? He wants automatic transmission since he had his hip replaced, so obviously 1/4 times and mods aren't a priority at all for him. If you would just gimme an idea on cars for him to look at thanks.

Ok, one more thing to add, since he is mid 40's and is rather tall he can't have a 2dr small coupe. 4 door sedans are more along the lines of what he is looking for.

Does he care about performance?

The 98-2002 Accord Sedans are pretty nice w/ the V6 Auto.

Also, Camrys are a good bet.
