Like a transparent blue, something smooth that will blend in nice and dosen't look hella glossy like the painted kind.

I would recomend painting them and doing it right.... Just my opinion but if you vynil interior peices most of our interior is textured either your going to try and push it in giving you a ruff look or your going to have air pockets and a very uneven surface...sand it down primar it, wet sand it and paint it ....again just my opinion

I see what you're saying. I just hate that super duper glossy look of painting.

yeah I know what you mean I have limo tint all the way around and with the window's up I still need to wear sunglass to help with the shine in my interior ... but I can tell you this it looks good... I just couldn't imagine vynil on the interior looking good becuase it's not a smooth serface ... then again I am not a fan of vynil but I do think the head light cover's and tail light cover's that the bat has made look pretty dam good wish he could match my paint for a set of head light cover's

Hey Bat, how flexible is the vinyl you use? Meaning, if you use a hairdryer on it, how far will it stretch? And will it keep that form after it cools down?

Yeah, I was wondering how hot does it have to get for it to start to peel?

Believe it or not, I've never used a blow driyer to apply my vinyl. Lots of practice;). Actually, what I usually do is let my car sit in the sun for about 10-15 to heat up the surface. Works great for me! Haven't had any problems with fading or peeling:). I use only High Performance Vinyl on my stuff:D.

How much does it cost approximately to have the interior painted? Any help would be appreciated.

you could do it yourself for a few dollars down at walmart.. but if you got a shop to do it, i would guess in the 500+ range for the full interior

Actually, I think it would cost a lot more than that. Stripping out most of the interior is really easy, but the dash is a major pain in the butt. I think that just the labor to remove and install the interior peices would cost close that much, then on top of that you would have to pay for paint and spray time.

Oo DaRk StAr oO, not all interior paints are glossy. Look into products made by SEM. You will probably have to go to an automotive refinishing supply store to get it because you won't find it in your local Autozone, Pep Boys, ect. The finish you get from SEM interior paints has absoulutly no gloss to them what-so-ever. The level of gloss is just like stock, which is no gloss at all.

But couldnt you spray the dash while it was still in the car? It looks like it can be done...time consuming, but possible.
