Squeeking Pully???

Hi there,

Got the alternator belt changed a few weeks ago cause there was a whine and a squeek coming from that direction. Now the wine is gone but the squee is back!

It gets nosier the higher the revs......any ideas?

you should have used a gatorback belt, no squeaks at all with that belt. if you changed with a oem belt then you definitely will always get a squeak.

i think its a pully.......or am i wrong?

The squeeking is always the belt. Much like squeeling tires, the rubber squeeks. Is the belt properly tensioned? BTW this should be in the repair and maintenance forum.
