I lost control around a turn when I hit some dirt in the middle of the turn. I slid around and bounced up a curb. Only damage was a front end out of alignment and a scratched front lip. I did a pretty good job of avoiding hitting something as I slid. Glad to hear you're okay. Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade...

I feel your pain. I woke up this morning and found that a drunk driver, who lives in my apartment complex, chose my car out of the other junk boxes in the parking lot to slam into. The rear quarter panel and driver's side door are screwed. Luckily the cops were already there rumaging through his apartment. Apparently the guy was on a freaking destructive melee last night.

steve: where did this happen? La Mesa, El Cajon and how fast were you going? i know if your going to fast in a turn in a celica and if you tap the brakes you'll break the rear end loose. is that what happened?

I was going a little over the speed limit but not much. I have taken the same turn a dozen times the same speed. I think my tire may have blown or something. If you check the pic of the rim on the driver side front the rim was just ripped apart. I think this may have happened as it slid. I was in Chula Vista next to Otay Lakes. The headlights are destroyed.

i hope insurance doesnt rape you.. i lost control of my supercharged miata, and they screwed me pretty bad.. losing control is like the worst thing that can happen.. insurance wise..

on the other side.. i'm happy i got a celica.. after seeing much destroyed celicas.. the celica seems to be very strong in structure and keeps the passenger quite safe.
