yo...I want to get the Kaminari kit...

but my body shop quoted me $2500 for paint and install. That's a fukkload. They also said they knew a way of getting around it...ie insurance fraud, which I don't want to do.

Tim?...Streetfighter?...Kevan?........any suggestions on where to get my kit done?

Do you already have the kit?

You can install iot yourself and the painting I will look into. Should nto be more than $500-600 for a good job.

no not yet....but if it isn't that hard to install myself...and it'll only cost $500-600 to paint...then I'll buy the kit tomorrow :)

its less then 1 g.. cost u like 400-600 to paint depending on the shop.. i can help you put it on sometime just gimme a hollar on my cell

check out Inline Autobody in Peabody. I was just recently refered to the guy there, Brian, by a friend. He's a really cool guy, does quite a few imports and does really good work. They were molding a wide body onto an S14 and completely repainting it a little while ago. If your scrape up your bumper after having it painted there he'll give u a really good deal on repainting. He offered to paint and install a wing for $100 for me. Seems like an awesome deal but i haven't gotten around to ordering one yet... need $$ hehe. He was also gonna repair and repaint my front bumper (when the WW lip got all messed up) for $200 which includes labor on the repair. So I'm guessing to paint/install a whole kit would be about $600 or so. Tell him Doug with the black celi refered u =)

I was gonna order from mb motorsports too, but i heard a lotta complaints about them so I'm looking for an alternative now. Some people mentioned the member Racerette, but i haven't been able to get ahold of her.

I heard Racerette is no longer a distributor of Kaminari kits. Something about Kaminari getting pissed at her for offering such low prices. Oh well.

Sorry for not replying earlier. I don't get on NC.org much. But I heard bad things about MB Autosports too man. Try to see if RPM can get you the kit.

As for the bodyshop in Peabody, do you have the address? I ordered my spoiler and it should be coming in a week or so and I need it to get painted and installed. I also need them to repaint my front bumper and rear bumper and hopefully fix my bodykit cause AutoHaus did a bad job installing it. I have gaps everywhere.

I dunno man. I want to stay away from Auto Design Haus and RPM as much as I can. I really do. If I can just order my kit from someone else...and get it painted by a good shop...that's all I care about. I don't want to deal with the ADH and RPM's **** anymore. I just never know if they're fukkin me over or not.

I'll avoid ADH. I would never do business with them fools. RPM is ok. I ordered and got my Tanabe exhaust installed there without any delays or problems.

Because of ADH I need to get my kit reinstalled. *sigh*

OMG, don't get me started on ADH and RPM. I have a lotta experiance with ADH.... and they basically suk. They try to rip u off big time and they do bull**** work. Had my Ground Controls installed there and they messed up the rear and the car was bouncing all over the place. They also installed a kit and cf hood on my friends SI and sold off the stock parts without telling him!!! He had to have his kit fixed up too. RPM is shady too. Lots of stories about them selling rims and stealing them back...
etc etc etc Stay away from Boston car shops i guess.

try my friend's shop in Quincy, his name is Andy, it's called ProSpec Auto Sport, some of you may already heard about it, 617-479-1051, http://www.prospecautosport.com/ his site is still under construction tho. He has good price and super good quality installation.

I've been to Pro-Spec in Quincy before. The shop is smaller than my closet. I don't think they do install jobs there. I'll probably check that place in Peabody soon and let you guys know if they have good deals.

stay away from mb autosports my friend big headaches from them.. the claimed and accused me of credit card fraud when all i did was upgrade my credit card from a platinum to titanium or something like that they were all over me and **** i was getting pissed because i told them i was gonna do that and they said it was okay cuz theywould charge the card that night instead they charged 3 days later when the change went through anyhow min from mbautosports is a ****ing peice of ****!

sorry I didnt see this thread earlier. Hanwei, also, if you feel like driving down my way, check out Kearn's Collision in Carver. They did all my Jetta work from the keying incident and all my current body work. They are very respectful and did an INCREDIBLE job. The paint on my car looks better than when I took it off the VW lot. I can get the # tomorrow, its around here somewhere. They are also good on pricing, let them know you know me and they can hook you up.

sounds good compared the the $2500 u were originally quoted, eh? He does good work. I don't have pics of my friends SI online, but he did a great job painting/installing his Tsunami kit after AutoHaus made a mess of it.

I stopped by Inline Autobody today before going to the Manchester beach with my girlfriend. Its only 3 miles away from where I got my Celi.

I met Brian who was very friendly. He gave me a quote of 600 bucks to paint and install front,back, and asides. As well as 35 bucks to install an exhaust.

Time to pick a body kit :).....The Octane front looks really nice :)

You should look around first. I am going to another body shop in Allston this Friday to see how much it will costs to paint/install my spoiler and also to see how much to paint my front and rear bumpers.
