I guess i shift slow or something cus everytime i powershift i always hit the limiter a few times. Yet i have seen videos of Illusive and DY101(something like that) and they dont hit the limiter. I dont see how i could possibly shift any faster, it just wouldn't go in if i tried faster.

You're slow. It's OK.

You gotta shift before you hit the limiter duh... Maybe your clutch pedal is not adjusted well and it doesn't disengage til you floor all the way it or you're just doing it half way or something? Clutch going/slipping? Doesn't seem to be tranny/syncros as you just keep hitting the limiter and it doesn't grind (or does it?).

Well i shift right at 8200 just before the limter, but during the shift i hit the limiter. It might be the clutch, i have 73k miles on the stock clutch and it has been raced alot. It doesn't grind unless i mess up, and i know its not driver error. I am doing it as fast as i can. I dont hit the limiter on any other cars, just on mine.

Wait do you just keep the gas to the floor when you shift? if so thats why of course your going to if you do that......

Yeah that is powershifting, keeping the gas pressed and just kicking the clutch. But some people can do it without hitting the limiter.

then put the clutch in before 8200 try 8000 maybe? if not go a lil lower.

When your shifting dont just floor it between the shift, you might have to look down a couple times at your tach and see where the 8200 is when your between the shift. Because jus keeping it floored will hit the rev limiter, so if your not keep a eye on how much pedal your giving it between the shift and adjust to it.

You have to let off the gas a little...

The trick to shifting fast is breaking it up into two distinct quick movements. The faster your foot pushes the clutch in, the earlier the transmission is going to allow you to change gears The transmission is in charge here, so forcing it is just gonna cause a lot of noise making the driver look like an idiot.

Most people shift slowly, or grind because they are pressing the clutch while they are trying to move the shifter. As quickly as possible, CLUTCH---Shift... The faster your foot is, the faster your shift is gonna be. It is really easy to figure out once you get this basic concept. Just don't do one until the other is finished.

Keep powershifting and you won't be powershifting for long...

Its the only guaranteed way for me to land lift in the 1-2 shift. If i just shift fast its like a 50/50 chance.

I'm sure there's another way to land lift on the 1-2 shift. That topic has been covered here, involves some deft footwork with the clutch.
