Hey guys, as you know im from Australia, i drive a Corolla 2004 1zz Auto. I recently purchase a camcon and emanage and i need help, no one has ever ran the camcon or emanage on a 1zz or 2 zz before so i will be the first. I know you guys from US are crazy with car performance. So are there any auto celica guys have done this?? i just need i rough idea on performance.
So heres my questions?
1. What function did you guys use on the camcon and emanage to tune?
2. What were the gains you guys got from the gains? toruque and kw atw?

i don't think celicas are running camcons and if they are they aren't very popular. the e-manage is just a piggyback ecu and is limited compared to a full standlone (like the popular apexi-pfc). i'd check out the people with matrixes 'cause i think their aftermarket ecu setups might be more similar to your car than celicas...

There are threads about the Camcon here, quick search will bring up all the info you will need.
Don't spend your money on the Camcon for an auto Corolla, though. You probably won't notice much if anything.

so the camcon is a piggyback and similar to the s-afc and works like a v-tec controller (well, vvti).
:wiggle:
i can't really see this bringing any substantial improvement to justify it's installation with nickel/dime mods and if somebody was getting into heavy mods (turbo/supercharger) i don't think this would be the choice engine managment device (when there are standalones available, rather than the cost of a camcon + an emanage).
:shrugs:
of course i'm just speculating. perhaps this question should be asked in the "ecu tuning" section. i'm sure there you'll get some real concrete info from tuning gurus...

use the camcon to chnage the value of your vvti and use the emange to cotrol fuel +ignition timming....

yeap, I wouldn't really worry too much a camcon or emanage if you're not getting into something like Force Induction. air intakes or CAI's do not produce enough to where you would need to start messing with your fuel ignition timing and stuff like that. personally, I would rather just save my money until I do seriously go with more major mods. some turbo kits or superchargers actually do come with the emanage or a PFC that you can use to tune your car with... i.e. the XS Engineering turbo kit comes with the Apexi Power FC, and the C2Power turbo kit comes with the Greddy eManage.
