OK...i'm pissed! I have a 2002 Celica GT (Black) and someone took off my driver side mirror for me one night. So, I ordered m3 mirrors for my ride. My mirrors are on the car and I was attempting to wire up the power mirror aspect of the mirror and the clock, stereo and power mirror functions all stopped woking. I shorted something I assume. I checked all fuses and they looked good. I think the clock, stereo and power windows are controlled by the ECU fuse but i'm not sure. Any ideas, what do I do? Am I ****ed???

Thanx all!

I did the same thing. There are some odd looking fuses in your fuse panel. I think they are red/orange and they are double the length of regular fuses. I believe it is one of the 7.5's that is blown. You can only get them from the dealer.
If you fiqure out how to wire your power mirrors let me know I still haven't got the wiring info for mine.

Check the multifuses:

Fellas, thanx for the quick replies. I checked those larger fuses and they look good (the metal inside is not burnt/split)...can they still be bad and/or causing my issue??? If I ever figure this **** out, i'll post a huge M3 Mirror install thread...the mirrors look pretty good on the car though, but i'd rather my stereo system (Fosgate) working again!

I'm sure those are the problem. Use a multi meter if you need to check resistance between the fuses. Those were the problem in my car.

That's why you always disconnect your battery. The fuses might be bad, but I thought if the metal inside was broken, then it would be bad. Maybe there's different kinds, only one way to find out. I would go buy an assortment of fuse's from a auto store. So if any over the other fuses later down the road go out you will have them. Hope you get it fixed.

Looks like i'm going to the dealer to buy those fuses eventhough they look ok...the dealer will probably tell me they are like a million dollars each as usual! I hate the ****ing dealer! I just hope this hasn't caused a huge, expensive problem adding to my already explosive stress!

Stealership charges $8.25 per fuse where I live.

Check the leads with a multimeter for continuity.
Check 1 & 3, 2 & 3, 4 & 5, 4 & 6

are there any fuses in the engine compartment that could be causing this problem?

I'm all set...the clock and stereo work again! I pulled those 4 longer fuses in the passenger side panel and waited a minute then put them all in again; started the car and all was well! Thank you fellas for all the help! This is a great site! The dealer AIN'T getting my money today!!!!! :applaud:

I don't know how they could, the part is $3.94 each. It's just 4 fuses in one. If you payed that I feel sorry for you. I would of told them flat out I'm not paying that.

yeah, that's way too expensive! My front license plate holder broke and I had to pay $35 for a new piece of plastic since I always get pulled over here in Boston for not having a plate! THEN, I accidentally broke a LED on the back of my instrument panel gauge face and I just wanted a new LED...dealer told me they don't sell individual LEDs and that I would have to pay $800 for a new gauge cluster! I just smiled/laughed and walked away. A buddy of mine soldered the seat belt (one that flashes) LED into the CEL area and now all is well...$800!!! HA HA HA, I could buy a lot of **** for my whip for that price! Dealer's are great when you have a warranty, but when the warranty is up, it's right to the "mom and pop" garage for repair!

I checked out autozone for that big fuse that the celis have and they don't have them...you guys are right i think that only the dealer has them...so they can rape us for a part that costs like a penny to make in Cambodia or somewhere! UNBELIEVABLE!

Thats a fair price for that part actually. I've tried sourcing them directly from the Japanese company that makes them but they said I need to be a company and they only sell in bulk like 500+ pieces.

The gauge cluster is also only $474.65 from toyota new. I don't know where you guys go or how they raise the prices on you.. I assumed they would be set
