i just ran my front right tired strait up the curb today into a gas station going about 25 km/hr...... i felt this bad bump......
the question is i'm wondering if i need an alignment and is it true that we are suppose to do an alignment about once a year?
my car has stock tires and rims....
advice is needed..... thanks...

It is not true that you need an alignment once a year.
You probably don't need an alignment from hitting the curb.
The biggest concern you should have after running over a curb at that speed is your wheel. It is possable to bend your wheel. Symptoms of a bent rim could include shaking at high speeds or tires that go flat all the time. Do you have any of thoes symptoms?

sorry for the late reply......
it just happened this morning so i didn't get a chance to go on a highway yet......
the thing is that i was perpendicular to the curb and my right wheel hit it..... it went straight up the curb and made a hard hit...... i hope my frame is fine.....

my wheel looks fine except 3 little chips and cuts were found on the all season michelin

You could've damaged ur wheel if u found some cuts on ur tires. Have the tiredealership check it out.
Also, look if there are cracks on ur rims, some of them are tiny, make sure u check it.

Yearly alignments are probably a good idea.
Does the car pull to one side (When you take both hands off steering wheel)?

its in the shop for an airbag replacement for the 3rd damn time and its been checked for 8 times. I haven't gotten to drive it since the day i hit the curb. thanks for the reply..... i really appreciate your help..... I'll take your advice and check it out once i get the car back..... THANKS AGAIN.....

i've tested my car out and it seems to drive straight without my hands on the wheel....
i hope its ok...
also.... it feels smooth on the highway too....
hopefully my alignment is still ok
