Yes it is a plug and play type deal! You shouldnt have any problems replacing the stock spoiler with the Authentic TRD wing!.............THIS THREAD IS CLOSED!! :chuckles:............and if your planning to put a TRD wing. I hope you have a body-kit cause IMO it doesnt look right without a kit! And ummm.........you got a cool name! :gap:

Yes, you definitely have to drill additional holes.... Try a search, it's been stated about two million times.

yep, yep, that shop is right, the four holes from the stock spoiler are the outer holes, there are inner holes too when you add the trd spoiler.
as far as the third brake light is concerned, it is LITERALLY plug and play.......lol

well the bottom of the bases for the TRD spoiler have 4 holes on each base. two bolts on each side will be sufficient to hold down the TRD spoiler...that's how I currently have it installed. there are also 2 plastic "nipple" things (for lack of a better word) on each of the bases as well. the shop was correct when they said they would have to drill to install the wing because you're going to need to have holes drilled for the extra 2 bolts on each base and the "nipples" unless you want to cut the plastic "nipples" off then it would work with only 2 bolts on each base to hold it in place.
oh and as for the TRD wing with no kit looking bad...i personally like the look! my celica gts is set up with a stock body, TRD wing, CF OEM hood, black housing headlights, and tein s-tech springs. i think it looks clean....just my .02 though

so you had to chop your two black nipples off to fit the TRD spoiler on correct?
Also without the additional holes does the brake light on the spoiler work?

yea i had to cut the nipples off to install it because i didn't want to drill. i'll get a stock spoiler when i want to sell my celica in the future. i'm not sure about the additional holes, but i think that you do need to drill for the light to work. mine isn't connected.

Uh, no.
You need two additional holes at each mounting location to install the spoiler.
If you didn't drill the holes when you installed yours then you didn't mount it correctly and just half assed the job, or you don't have an authentic TRD spoiler.
Most knock-offs do not require you to drill extra holes.
