View Full Version : Attn: Those with Kaminari Race Wing w/CF Insert

I finally got my wing last week, but I was a bit dissapointed upon opening the box. The CF insert had some scratches on it. Plus, the wing does require alittle more prep work than I origionally thought. It's getting painted today and install is scheduled for next week. How many of you with this wing experienced the same thing as far as prep work? Also, how was the CF insert, was it smooth, any scratches? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Bat- The carbonfiber piece has to bee preep and painted just as the rest of the wing.

I got mine a while ago and it was the same deal. Its just the way it is I have to get mine painted too.

The carbon quility itself is super good though dont you think?

Looks okay. I guess I'll have to wait 'till next week to see the final product. I'm glad yours turned out nice. Do you have any pics with the CF insert, Paul?

what do you need to do for the prep to the carbon blades/wings? did you/are you painting the carbon fiber blades or are you leaving them alone for the carbon fiber look?

I had the edges painted spec blue to go with my car, instead of black. Can't wait to see it:).

My Carbon fiber insert had a few scratches, but nothing noticeable. I don't think your "supposed" to paint the insert, but there isn't anything wrong with doing it.

Thats funny my wing was perfect besides the black lining that I painted over... The CF part was virtually unscratched (except after wiping it down I made some micro scratches) Im really happy with the wing. Most of you have already seen the wing mounted on my car... But if you want more pics Ill be more than happy to post just tell me what angle you want it taken from... Later all ...

I origionally wasn't going to paint the ends of the centerpiece, but after seeing it on Ritz's, looked to nice too pass up;). It was either spec blue or black. I went with spec blue:D.

Funny thing is Onyx saw one of the pieces painted already! He was at the Bodyshop I recommended and the guy showed him my painted piece. He was very impressed. Looks like it'll be installed on Tuesday:).

yeah, I just saw a part of the centerpiece...but it looked pretty darned sweet. Can't wait to see it complete and on your car, Bat.

What color is your ride? Do you have any pics yet? Did you paint the lining as well? Sorry for asking so many question I just want to see what it looks like :D...
