that problem with no throttle responce in the morning returned after 2 weeks from cleaning the MAFS. its even worse now. i took it to the toyota dealer and they kept it overnight to see if they can recreate the problem. they said they are replacing the MAFS under warranty :D

Wow, that's cool that they are replacing it even though you dont' have stock components surrounding it...
very interesting. Do you have one of those uncommon superdealers? ;)

thats an odd problem? never heard of a CAI causing no throttle response at all.
what happens if the new MAF doesnt fix it?

i dont think it will fix it.
you have a problem with your cai leaking air somewhere.
im getting a new tube from injen pretty soon so ill know in a few days.
i had the injen in and it was causing a cel and i would reset it and i had hesitation whenever i floored it or even stepped on it a little bit.
i sent the tube back to injen for a replacement because i found where the leak was. but when i put my stock airbox back on all the power was on tap and the cel went off.

It will still hit the old limit - theres a TSB on this - the ECM was developed because they were having problems with teh CEL coming on with code P0300 because it was too sensitive to small amount of misfire... If memory serves there was also an associated injector issue.

i got my car back today. they said they couldnt fix the problem with low throttle responce with a cold engine, but with the new MAFS there is a definate difference in driving. it runs so much smoother and has MUCH faster acceleration!
MAFS costs around 200 bucks
