just happened to be looking under the car today and... i THINK im seeing about an 8th of my flywheel with nothing covering it... on the bottom side of the tranny. im assuming its the flywheel because its the only thing i know of thats flat, circular, and has teeth all around it. i never noticed it before, is there a cover thats supposed to be there that may have came off? or maybe the shop didnt put it back on the other month installing the new clutch? it doesnt look like anything goes there and nothing looks cracked. - thanks.

Yup, there's supposed to be a little plate covering that opening.

I never had a plate there..I don't see where one would bolt one if there was one.
The service manual doesn't mention it anywhere, or in a parts blowout. Have a pic of one?

I don't doubt it.. I just haven't seen it yet.. "inspection plate" or whatever you want to call it

it dosent bolt in, its a plastic cover. it just snaps into place. i been running mine without it for years. you will be fine

Probably best to cover it up as you don't want any spray or sh1t getting in there, causing any potensial problem later on.

Mine doesn't have it and neither does my buddies iirc. Haven't had a problem from it.

Mine doesn't have it either, and I don't have the engine plastics either. Time to start thinking about that aluminum underpanel.
