Thanks for any info !

I just did it a couple of weeks ago, it's easy. Just get yourself a jackstand/jack kit from checker auto or something like that. they were selling a 3 ton jack with stands w/ 3 year warranty for like 80 bux. Take all the plastic stuff outta the bottom of the car very carefully, I mean those stupid little snaps. be careful with them. They are 2 bucks a piece from the dealer,, whatta crock, DAVID DRAPER should do a group buy on those POS's. Anyways here's a link to some directions on how to do it.
Also, if you ever need help with anything else hit www.teamunison.com and they have a complete list of installs of everything.

www.amsoil.com is the best oil period. get some of that and you will feel a difference in your shifts

Amsoil is very good, but U should also give NEO synthetic a try as well, both oils are top notch.

It will be messy, and the oil is thick and slow.
-Make sure you have the proper sockets before hand.
-definitely use the funnel and tube method, the tube can't be too big otherwise it won't fit in the fill hole.
-try and make sure you're on a level surface when you fill 'er up. we had her up on 4 jack stands to keep it level.
**you can lube up the shifting linkage while you're under the car. Probably the best time to do it since you're there. It's the brass/bronze colored linkage... part of it hides between the battery and the upper engine. Just have someone shift the lever a lil and you'll see where it's at. Use lithium grease not WD40

Dealeship charges around 39.99. How many miles do you have on your car??? Cause it should be done at 30,000 miles and you also need to change the differential fluid also by 30,000. Although the manual says at 15,000 miles I've talked to many shops and the dealership themselves and I've been told 30,000.

In a front drive car the differential oil and transmission oil are the same thing.
I assume you are talking a manual tranny car in this thread since everyone is. Automatics follow a different set of rules.

or instead of using 4 jackstands an easier way is to lift the car up front end up, over fill the tranny, then let the car down and the excess will spill out then lift it back up and put the fill plug and plastics back in.

Changing the transmission fluid is as easy as doing the oil.
There are only 2 bolts that you have to unscrew. Pretty big bolts, around 20MM I believe, when I changed mine I had to use Standard not metric,, dont know why, all the bolts should be metric.
The drain plug is right on bottom of the transmission(the big giant silver thing with indents and little humps would be the transmission), and the fill hole is about 6 inches away from the drain hole, facing the front of the vehicle. Just unscrew these 2 bolts and the fluid will drain. The drain and fill holes as well as the majority of the transmission should be on the drivers side of the car. If your lookin for the drain and fill plug on the passenger side you won't find it.
After the fluid drains, plug up the drain hole with the bolt. Leave the fill hole open. You'll need a transmission fluid funnel for filling up. It's basically just a funnel with a 1-2 foot hose attached to it.
For manual transmission fill the drain hole with 2 quarts of 75w-90 fluid for GT, 2.4 quarts for GT-S. Automatic transmission 2.2 quarts of Type T-IV for GT, 4.2 for GT-S.
