what the hell? toyota never made such an engine... toyota engine codes usually starts with a number which indictates the blocks generation. I was thinking that the number indicates the chassis code but that doesn't match with toyota's standard model code.
In toyota's list of suffixes there is an 'N' which indicates the engine uses CNG (compressed natural gas)... but that belongs at the back of the code.

A 1ZZ is a 1ZZ, no matter what part of the world it came from. The highest output one came on the Celica, and in all countries. 140hp at the crank. The next weakest was from the MR-S (138), then Corolla (130 in the 1st gen 1ZZ). Same power in all countries as well.
