Ok, I'm so ready to buy an exhaust. I was soo sold on the APEXi N-1, until I saw, in person, the quality of tanabe vs. APEXi. The tanabe looked much nicer. The distributor can get both, but recommended the tanabe over the APEXi. Does anyone have positive or negative experiences or information about tanabe (racing medallion) exhausts? I have a GT-S. Also, how does tanabe compare in sound and performance to APEXi? Thanx all.

APEXi... good enough. I have an HKS system... which i completely tore apart and upgraded to 2 1/2" piping w/o the big resonator... Deep, deep, deep clean bass sound... but not annoying, of course... A lot of "ricers" in my area are impressed that my exhaust can sound like this. But if you're looking for quality sound, performance, and looks... APEXi all the way.

The TRM has a deep, clean, sound. Unless your going to do a custom system

Every HKS system Ive seen rusts within 2 years. If you live in the DCM , you should think about the salt thats on our roads. Tanabe has better power gains over both the HKS and Apexi systems. Go read the article from turbo magazine about their exhaust review. it has pictures, sound clips and dyno charts.
