Yet another reason not to buy a Honda. Didn't it used to be the Accord? These things must be Slim Jim friendly.

hmmm, maybe thats why my brothers insureance on his accord is kinda high. or it could be the fact that he's had 5-6tickets and been pull'd over 20something time.:gap:
yeah if i had a "true" type r, i would let it sit out in the open for to long. so many haters out there.:ugh:

Yeah, it's cuz of all the people out there who swap the Teg engine into their civics and sh!t.. oh well..
The Prelude is 4th for the same type of reason - engine swapping.

Most of my friends (and they all drive Hondas) has had their car messed with, stolen, broken into, kicked, keyed, etc. one time or another. The worst I got was an egg to the back windshield, which washed away because it rained in the following hours. :)

yep, my old 88' cr-x was bust'd into, stereo, speakers were take'n, and they destory'd the whole speedo for nothing. at the time i had a crap headunit, and just no-name speakers in the rear. they kinda did a favor. car was fix'd, alarm was install'd, and the a $300 headunit, and speakers for free, my insureance was cool about everything.

Don't that put alarm in the hondas or does it not work?
Just like GM with the Camaro/Firebird Platform they both are paragons of engineering/manufacturing commonality, thus they share many components like Powertrains. While this is good if you're then manufacturer [saves $$$ = PROFIT$] it sucks if you're the purchaser as they soon find out that the Civc platform will support all powertrains that go into the Civic platform. Thusly, I can purchase a base Civic DX and upgrade into an EX powertrain, Si powertrain, Integra LS p/t an Integra GS-R p/t or an ITR p/t. Brilliant achievement for Honda, but not too good for those of us who bought one of the "high end" Civics or Integras. And let's not forget that the the little Honda CR-V block with one of the aforementioned heads fit perfectly into a Civic as well and some have shoehorned Prelude engines into Civic Hybrids as well.
