You know that piece that you can only get from the UK that converts the double din to single din? (Herotang usta sell them to people here) Well im trying to install the damn thing but I can't figure out how to secure it in there. There are two holes for screws on the thing.. but nothing to screw into.. I didn't think you'd need to drill into the dash to install this. For those of you who have installed it, how is it done? WTF am i doing wrong?
Thanks guys...

I have never installed one... but I remember hearing that you need the brackets from the factory unit.

Yeah you need to take the brackets off of the stock headunit and use those to hold the single din thing in place.... And although it doesnt look like it at first... it is possible to put it in upside down so just check and make sure it fits with the rest of the center console good. Mine wasnt fitting right, then I turned it over and it fit perfect. You may need to drill a couple holes in the single din adapter to get the holes to line up good with the stock stereo brackets, but once you see what your doin' it's a piece of cake... Good luck.. :)

yeah, this is the one without the hole on bottom, and has the same finish as stock. i just ordered one but haven't got it yet. i never checked to see if i had the factory head unit mounting brackets, but hopefully i do. and i hope this thing doesn't rattle or vibrate. the one i have now w/ the cubby hole rattles once and a while. has anyone else had that problem w/ the herotang one?

mine rattles like crazy, i have a pack of cigs crammed in there to apply proper pressure so the pocket doesn't make that annoying sound when starting off.
