kbb'd it and it's between $8000-$8800. the rims, tint, and stereo might help you sell it but i don't think they add $9000 in value. a private party sale requires a buyer to either pay straight out cash or get a personal loan from a bank (i really doubt a bank will loan out $17000 for an $8000 car)...
selling for at least $17000? i bought my 2000 gts in 2003 with 28000 miles and it was only $16000. the only way i could see that pricetag was if you had proof of a completely built engine and a monster turbo kit attached to it.
your car's looking good. people always want to sell to get something faster but why take a loan out for like $20000-$30000 when you can drop $5000 on your existing ride and be just as fast (if not faster). unless of course you got mad loot and you're looking at upgrading to a bmw v10 at 500hp...

part out that sound system. if you put those subs in a custom fiberglass enclosure your sh1t would sell in the same day...
i hear you 'bout being tight on the money though. paper gets lighter as plastic gets heavier. i'm sure if you take your time and shop around you'll find a steal of a deal on some ride...

i'm sure somebody out there would be happy to take it off your hands. a performance oriented buyer could compare buying a stock gts versus a built turbo gt with ten grand in the engine for similar pricing...
:naughty:
mostly i was trying to figure how to justify nine grand over private-party retail (a built engine, a high-end turbo kit, a lsd, and miscellaneous parts could command extra dollars). prock has a 00gt auto with a kickazz audio system. if he can sell it for $17000 then great. just with the current market it seems unlikely at that price.

You wont get that much for that car. 7 years old with high mileage. The other crap doesn't add "value". Parts depreciate worse than the car does. Second of all the parts are only valuable to certain people, and not all modified parts "add value" in the eye of the buyer. You best bet is to go back to stock and get 7k-9k for the car. You may get another 2k for the parts.
Listen to the people around you who have experience doing this.

I'd sell mine for 17k but its a built gt-s with turbo, pearl paint, body kit, wheels, suspension and stereo. I couldn't imagine a gt going for more that 12 with mods.

sell the parts, go back to stock, then sell the car on auto trader.
A GSR is totally different, its easy to sell a GSR and not lose your shirt.
My car will be easy to sell also when the day comes.
