article about the 2003 Cobra. Have a few new insights into it:

This car is faster than any production Mustang ever, including the 428 Cobra Jet. (That says A LOT)

the suspension on it is superior to even the 2000 Cobra R's.(Which competed very nicely agains the Viper and Zo6) Through many improvements in teh IRs and chasis this car is poised to take on the world's best IMHO.

It's brakes are massive and have PBR calipers(very nice)

It has Bilstein shocks and struts with 600ft lbs LINEAR RATE springs(linear is much preferred over progressive rate for any kind of handling)

This car could do 170+mph, but Ford limited it to 155mph because they didnt want to put on the Cobra R's wing or front fascia. (which woudl allow the car to reach those speeds and manuver well at them aerodynamically)

When swapping the supercharger pulley used with the stock one used in the Ford Lightning, they got a 12.07 at 119mph out of the car..no other mods.

This car makes more torque at 2,000 rpms (320) than the 99-01 n/a Cobra's made at peak.

there's so much more in this article. this car has me in AWE. I did not know it had all this stuff on it previously. now knowing what i know, this car is a STEAL at 35k..hoyl **** its a good day for Ford fanatics like myself.

Now if only I coudl afford one :D

its $35k only ;-)

I would but 3 of them (diff colors to match my moods), if FORD would finally spend $400 on their interior

guess what? :)

the interior has been upgraded a bit too in this model :)

they threw in titanium gauges with Indiglo lighting, a trim ring aroudn the shifter, new shifter knob, new, better seats with new adjustable side bolsters on teh drivers side, mach 460 standard, along with all the power options standard, to name a few things.

Ford's the ****! lol :)

heh, stilly crappy... I had V6 mustang convertible ('01 model) for a year... crappy insides... I mean, really crappy... looks 5-6 yrs old... new model coming out next year should be much nicer... argh, i really wish Ford would give interior design to their European unit... i doubt that higher quality plastics and interior bits would cost more than a 200$ per car... and I bet it would enable them to sell the cars for more too... oh well
