Ok, my stock yokos have gotten so bad that anytime I engage VVTL-I all I get is wheel spin. So I have decided to pick up some new tires. Any suggestions on what to get...? I would like to spend under $400. Also, is it feasible to go any wider than the stock 205?

215/45/16 fit ok on the stock 16" wheels. I've seen 225/50/15 on the stock 15" wheels too. I agree about the Kuhmo 712's. They're a good tire for the money. Longer lasting than the stock Yokos, but maybe not quite as high performance. If you get the Kuhmos, give them about 500 miles to fully scuff in.

245 width tires will not fit the stock wheels and might not even fit in the wheel wells either.

If you're willing to give up some tread life, the Flaken Azenis in 215/45-16 is a great tire, for about $100 per...

I'm considering getting a set for my own daily drivers. I have a set on my race tires (in 15") with a spare set sitting in my garage right now....
