Is there any way to get around this if you are painting the center console? So that the numbers and ac stuff light up. Instead of just coveriing everything up and puting stickers on it.

I remember somebody using that 3D fabric paint to "mask" the icons.... I don't know how is called but it looks like this

Polymark dimensional fabric paint is what I saw before.

I can see how that would work. But for that to work out. You would have to use a really, really thin brush. Right? And work it with extreme detail.

you could always tape up the decals before painting the center console but that would be really time consuming

Carefully carefully use some type of pinstriping or painters tape to cover the icons before painting over them

This link may be useful if you want to use the Polymark fabric paint pen to mask the lit icons. I used vasoline initially to mask the icons off but the Polymark fabric paint pen works a lot better, is more precise and easier to remove.

The original picture of the Polymark pen changed in that ^^^^ thread so here is another:

if you run some searches you'll find a thread I made about 3-4 months ago. I posted Eddie's Gmail address in there because it is hard to get him to respond to PM's. If you email him though there, he can get you the stickers your looking for. His color choices are limited, however he can get you any color you want (it just costs a little extra).
